We had a great few days here just after easter. The kids loved feeding the lambs and cows and waited eagerly by the chickens each morning and we were always rewarded with fresh eggs. The farm is brilliantly located near Corfe castle and other Dorset delights, with great beaches. The field we were in was really nicely sheltered and the... More

We went at the last minute for a weekend break at the end of the summer. Its a nice idea, much more comfortable than normal camping and great for kids (although our 1 year old was probably a bit too young to appreciate it), and it was great looking up at the stars at night and then waking up in... Kids loved it. Jo and Paul v welcoming and inviting to get hands on with feeding etc, watching the milking. I think this is one of the original farms, and it's quite a different experience from some of the other Feather Downs that we've been to 'buy in' the animals to entertain the kids... Real is good, especially when talking... More

Just returned from a short week on Featherdown Farms, Knaveswell Farm. Hosts Paul & Jo such lovely people, very welcoming and keen for the children to join in feeding the calves & lambs. My daughter loved the Shetland ponies, grooming them and walking them. We were in a 6 tented field with little room between ours & the next tent... More

Just this second back from a lovely stay at Knaveswell "glamping". Directions were superb and hosts were friendly and helpful. We were very lucky too with the weather- full on sunshine - heaven! We stayed in the first field - nearest the farm, which we were glad of as it was a short walk (but felt long) from the car... More

We came back from a midweek stay at Knaveswell yesterday and had the best time ever. So much so that the children have already started a jar to save for another trip. We took our children - 9yrs, 7 yrs and 21 months and both sets of Grandparents plus auntie and uncle came too, making us 3 tents in total.... More

Have stayed at a few featherdowns - the children and the adults all love it. The kids are fully occupied all the time so it is very relaxing. The only down side with this feather down is the wood chip around the tents. It doesn't matter once the kids have got past the crawling stage. We took a 5 year... More

We all know that children just love camping - the freedom, the fresh air, the new friends and the informality. Unfortunately I lost interst sometime in my late twenties - once I discovered ensuite bathrooms. But this is camping with a diffierence. The difference being you dont have to give up the comforts of home - namely a comfortable double... More
