I arrived at Beechfield at about 6 o'clock on a Monday evening. I had phoned the weekend before to ask if the hotel could get some Soya Milk for me for my breakfast. This is usually never a problem but when I arrived, the manager informed me that there would be a £10 admin charge if they bought the Soya... More

Stayed here for one night and the owner who greeted us was very friendly. The decor of the questhouse is a bit tired looking and in need of updating but in saying that the rooms were very clean and spotless and white towels were provided. Breakfast which was freshly cooked was excellent. The rooms were not the warmest but this... More

I booked to stay here as I was going to wedding in a nearby hotel and it was cheaper. I booked it even though I read the reviews on trip advisor. I will admit that I was worried. However I have got to ask the other reviewers what kinda places are you used to staying in because for what I... More

Stayed for one night when attending a wedding at a nearby hotel. Wish we had stayed there to be honest. Beechfield not quite as bad as some have made out, but not somewhere I would wish to spend more than one night. Bathroom, towels and bed linen all clean and fresh smelling. Rest of decor in the room very tired.... More

We were traveling from the US for a family funeral so we wanted something comfortable. The bloke on reception was very friendly but charged us upfront which I thought was odd. On entering the room I thought it smelled a little damp so I tried to open a window, it was pretty jammed and had a huge cobweb. We were... More

I attended a wedding at a nearby hotel and this was the only acoomodation availbale in the area. I read the previous reviews so I wasnt expecting much. The room was fine no problems at all and I was pleasantly surprised. However the following morning when I went down for breakfast I had the worst experience of a waitress ever!... More

Accommodation was fine, we were attending a wedding in a nearby hotel so really just needed a bed and a nice breakfast! Unfortunately the latter was not delivered. Staff were slow and unattentive. One staff member in particular was extremely rude, spilled hot tea on my sisters dress without apology and blamed us for her own mistakes in taking our... More
