We visited this place as our first choice hotel couldn't take us. Big mistake. My husband had stayed here 40 years before and thought it would be nice to re-visit. Nostalgia! Wrong. The approach was dismal, the garden strewn with discarded toys, the entrance grubby and unwelcoming. The place had clearly been re-fitted years ago to comply with fire regs... More

We took advantage of the offer of £25 pp and we were left quite satisfied by the overall service. TV, clean towels, and the decoration and space of the room gave us a feeling that we got real value for the £50 we paid for the double-room for one night. Furthermore, a warm common room provides a home-feeling. The best... More

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at this lovely B&B. A warm welcome by John was followed by good suggestions on what to do on Arran. The B&B is in a great location, only a minutes drive from the ferry port, and has fantastic views of Goat Fell/Brodick bay from the comfy living room. Our room was on... More

Just returned from another visit to Arran, again staying at Carrick Lodge. Ideal location makes it a convenient base for any Arran Holiday. Room clean, comfortable & spacious. Breakfasts are great & filling (this lady does a very good fry up). Owner very friendly & accomodating with nothing too much trouble. Large gardens with on site parking, there is even... More

We had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable and having the lounge with an amazing view was great as we were 2 couples and it meant we could get together before heading out in the evening. Great value for money and the breakfasts are amazing!! We... More

This is an easy walk from the ferry, just up the hill a bit, away from the main part of the village. I had a cute little single room (bed in the window alcove with 3 steps down into room), with a bathroom. There was no desk in my room (there was definitely no room for one!) but the lounge... More

arrived to the Carrick Lodge for 1nights stay, the Guest House is in a good location and looks a lovely building from outside. We were greeted by the owner I believe (well asked if we had a reservation). It took a little while for the lady to respond to the door bell, we couldn't phone the numbers on the door... More

I had been wondering what was wrong with my wife this last week and eventually she told me. It was this devastating report on Trip Advisor. I know how hard she works running the guest house and bringing up our 4 wonderful children. I had no idea two people could be so cruel. For the record the ‘hair’ in question... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Carrick lodge, Brodick. The location of the lodge is fantastic only 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal and the view from our window out over Brodick harbour to goatfell was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was really good, especially the kippers. The only thing was the rooms although... More
