We just had a weekend break in the Dornoch Castle Hotel and I can safely say it was the best weekend break I have ever had. The staff were so helpful and friendly I felt like it was a home away from home and settled in straight away.

We do apologise that you were not able to enjoy a glass of wine at Dornoch Castle Hotel, however the Scottish Licensing Regulations state that we cannot serve alcoholic beverages on New Years Day unless food is being consumed. The only exception is for residents of the hotel.

When I planned our lodgings for the trip, I wanted to do a few unique one too. And this was one of them… we stayed in a castle! The Dornoch Castle has been turned into a very nice hotel. Some rooms are quite modern and some are true castle. This was a splurge… I booked the best room...the Old Courtroom....
