I can only add to the excellent reviews this upmarket B&B deserves. From the moment we arrived to be greeted by Freda until we left courtesy of Andre, this was a terrific place to stay. The hosts friendliness and helpfulness resurrected memories of service from another time. Nice touches all over the hotel, wonderful views ( I actually saw a... More

I have stayed there 3 nights and it was just awesome. The houselady was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The views out of the windows are stunning. I have really enjoyed that there is no GSM signal. Definitely will come again.

We stayed here for three nights in May. On arrival we couldn't believe what a fantastic spot it was. The views of the loch are superb and our very comfortable room looked over it. The conservatory has a fabulous view. Breakfast was very tasty with a good choice. Freda was the perfect hostess. There to greet us at the door... More

I’d like to say that Newton Lodge is a ‘home from home’ – but Newton Lodge is far more splendid, comfortable and welcoming than my home!!! Frieda is an amazing host, and really wanted us to have the best holiday we could have. She kindly & happily leant us binoculars, books and gave handy tips on the best places to... More

Freda and Andre were very hospitable when you saw them but is their heart really in running a hotel? The place is ok but for the price could be better. Decor getting a bit dated and the tv is small and nearing museum standard.Public rooms no ambience and felt uninviting. Newton Lodge is certainly in a lovely location. Breakfast is... More

My husband and 20 year old daughter stayed in the lovely Newton Lodge and were enthralled by Freda and Andre. The rooms were sweet, Andre's breakfast food was delicious, and the conversations with Freda amazing. We spent our days hiking and bird watching, occasionally spying on the near by otters.Thank you so much for a fantastic time!

A very nice B & B, more like a small hotel. Great location and lovely breakfasts from caring and very interesting owners.

This was the first time that we had stayed at Newton Lodge & we were pleasantly surprised by the wildlife knowledge of the owners. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location with loch & mountain views from our room. A telescope is provided in the conservatory so the seals can be viewed on a small island nearby. The room... Stayed for 2 nights during a 2 week tour of the highlands and Skye, Harris and Lewis. We styed same time last year during a similar trip and loved it so much we had to come back. We had friends with us this year and they also loved the setting and the hospitality of Freda and Andre. Rooms are very... More
