We enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautifully decorated, we had a large room and the breakfast was as good as any other we have had in Ireland. Try as we might, we could not shut out the car lights driving down the road throughout the night which, along with the traffic noise, kept us awake. We were met... More

Both my wife and I had been travelling for several weeks and had been to many B&Bs in three countries before arriving at Braighe House for the 3 night stay we booked online. We were warmly welcomed, had a choice of rooms with fantastic views and despite being a little out of town it had the advantage of being peaceful... More

This was booked for me by a client, for whom I was working in Stornoway, and I was apprehensive about the facilities here but I needn't have worried. The rooms have a light, modern feel, and the bathroom was superb. The breakfast was first rate. The hotel is some way outside Stornoway, so you will need to get a taxi... More

Spent 3 nights at Braighe House whilst working at Western Isles Hospital. Stay in many Hotels throughout the year and the 3 qualities I require are; good bed, good shower and good breakfast.. Bed - Excellent, Shower - Excellent, Breakfast - Beyond Excellent. The bedroom was large with comfortable double-bed, plenty of space to spread out and enough electrical sockets... More

We were rather surprised at how far out of the town it was, which was a bit of a setback as it meant one of us had to drive to go out for something to eat in town. However, the House itself is lovely, the room very nice (albeit on the back and therefore with no sea view) and the... More

My dad and I recently spent six nights at Braighe House. Though it was farther from the city centre than we'd anticipated, it was very close to the airport and the sea view more than made up for the distance from town. Alison and John, the proprietors, were friendly and welcoming and had truly thought of everything to make their... More

We only stayed one night at Braighe House, but would happily have stayed longer. Alison was very welcoming, helpful and informative, our room was excellent, as was breakfast. Loads of off-road parking, nice situation outside the twon, with a nice sea view.

Warm welcome and a modern, well equipped, comfortable room. Great hosts and a very enjoyable complimentary glass of port enjoyed in the lovely guest lounge with a clear view of the ocean.. Comfortable bed and a breakfast worthy of five stars all by itself! The packed lunch was fresh and had enough items to give it a real 'picnic' feel.... More

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst in the area on business. The location is a little out of the centre but it looks onto the sea - and the owners have a car hire business for people without transport. Who wants to stay in the centre all the time anyway? The hosts are also very helpful in arranging other... More

We only stayed for one night, on a roadtrip around the Highlands & Islands, and wish we could have stayed for a week! By far the best accommodation of our holiday. The lady who runs it was a perfect host: upon arrival, check-in was slick and polished, and she even recommended and booked a restaurant for us for dinner. It's... More
