I stayed for two weeks with Pam and Ron who made me feel so at home they really made my stay special. Everything was superb and reflective of their generosity: breakfasts were made with all good quality ingredients and homemade jams, marmalade, sausages (both pork and THE MOST WONDERFUL VEGGIE sausages EVER) etc made meal times something to really look... We had a lovely weekend break, Pam & Ron made us very welcome in their well equipped bed & breakfast accommodation, they were very good hosts, the food was excellent and their knowledge of the area was first class, recommending local places to visit. We have already recommended to family and friends, we shall be visiting again in the future.

I visited Skye while researching potential sites for a longer stay, and picked Tir Alainn at random from the many good B&B's listed on Trip Advisor. I had only one regret about the visit, and that was that I hadn't opted to spend more time on Skye and at Tir Alainn. The house sits in a large garden, well away... More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Tir Alainn. Our room was well-equipped, spotlessly clean and had a lovely view down to the sea. Ron and Pam and excellent hosts, making you feel very welcome, and they are a great source of local information, recommending places to go and things to do. Breakfast was fantastic, setting us up for... More

After a very stressful day in August 2011, my boyfriend and I found Tir Alainn. I was carsick when we got there and Ron was truly concerned and so very sweet. Both Pam and Ron were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to make us comfortable, as well as recommended the Red Skye Restaurant which was exceptional. Our... More

We found all of the rooms well decorated and very well furnished with good quality fixtures and fittings. Everything very clean and well cared for. The bathroom fixtures were also of good quality, and everything worked as it should. Pam and Ron were very keen (even anxious) to ensure that we had everything that we wanted, and that we were... Tir Alainn is a great 'find'. It's comfortable, breakfast is excellent, the views are stunning, and Pam & Ron are attentive and gracious hosts. It's a peaceful place and even the directions for finding the house are easy to follow. There's a very good restaurant within easy walking distance.

If Skye is the jewel of the British Isles, then Tir Alainn must be the gold nugget among its places to stay. Pam and Ron Davison are warm, welcoming, informative and thoughtful hosts, providing a friendly and exceedingly comfortable base from which to explore this enchanting island. Breakfasts are varied, substantial and delicious ( to get you up mountains) and... More

Highly recommended, stunning spot and extremely helpful hosts who were an encyclopaedia on the surrounding mountains! Any climber would be a fool not to stop here for an excellent insight from a comprehensive weather report to a review of the rocks! Absolutely spoilt for choice for breakfast and no advice can be offered for which option to take as they... More

We stayed with Ron and Pam for 2 nights in October, 2012. They were very welcoming and flexible. Our car got a flat and we were over 2 hours late getting to their home. It was no problem for them! The rooms were very comfortable with an en suite bath and tea making equipment. The beds were great. In the... More
