Just had the most fantastic weekend at the clachan cottage hotel without kids and puppy, great view of the loch and fantastic food. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the area, as a measurement of how good, Yes we would definitely come back and bring kids and puppy with us.

We bought this as a cheap two night stay and were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. Room had a stunning view which was lovely at every time of day. Cleanliness was very disappointing. We removed a huge cobweb from above the bed and the bed and lamps haven't seen a duster as often as they... More

Stayed for two nights in may. Great location! The hotel itself does not really have ' kerb appeal' . See photos of reception entrance with broken plant pots and a full birdbath ashtray ! Car park was an assault course of big ponds and mud ( bring wellies) .They definitely are trying as rooms were cosy and thoughtfully decorated. If... More

Four of us needed a room for a night late in the day. The manager was away but "would be back in 5 minutes". 45 minutes later he had returned but made no effort to contact us. When I finally found him he reluctantly said he had 2 rooms but the price had gone up that day and there was... More

Spent a weekend here and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much for them. Food was delicious and the bar and lounge are very well decorated and relaxing. The views are out of this world and must be up there amongst the best hotel views in Scotland. We re- booked for a week... More

Enjoyed two day stay in a huge refurbished room facing the loch. Only disappointment in the room was the fact that the TV was placed high up on the wall but this is a small point. Otherwise have only praise for the standard of the room and the en suite. The view was breathtaking. Breakfast was a little limited but... More

We stayed in the Clachan hotel for 2 nights last week. It's in a lovely spot and has a great pub restaurant with a good atmosphere, serving excellent food. We ate in the pub both nights and were pleased with what we got. The hotel itself was ok, it was a great valu deal so I can't complain too much.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights Wed-Sat in April. The hotel is quite quirky and is really charming with old beams in every room, lovely. We arrived on a cold, wet Wednesday night and were absolutely delighted when we walked into the bar and there was live traditional scottish music playing and a roaring fire with big... More

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights from Saturday to Monday. Nice and cosy place to stay. Very quirky but adds to the charm. Will bring the dog next time! Great location and fantastic views onto the Loch and hills behind. Room was comfortable and shower nearly blew me out of it, power shower indeed :) Only downside... More
