The Craw Inn is one of our favourite weekend haunts for a lovely pub meal by the fireside. We haven't been disappointed yet. When we had a large family group visiting from South Africa and London over the Christmas holidays, we immediately thought of bringing them here. There is always a warm welcome and the owner and staff took our... More

my partner and i travelled to The Craw inn on our motor bike through wind and rain arriving at 3pm on Thursday 20th Sept 2012. The pub was closed at this time but after telephoning the owners they were more than happy to let us in, we were soaked and tired. They must have been expecting this as our room... More

We got this room for a cheaper rate of £69 for a double ensuite for 4 people, went with my partner and teenage son. The room was adequate with plenty of room and flat screen tv in adjoining room with fold down double bed. Although free wi-fi was advertised this was very hit and miss, we had to ask the... More

Spent a relaxing night sampling the real ales and enjoying the barbicue. The Inn itself is comfortable but could do with a little tweaking here and there..... Breakfast was tasty and well presented. overall a good experience.

We spent 3 nights here as part of a group. The landlord could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The rooms were all a good size and the annex was great. A hearty breakfast was available every morning and we ate in the pub one evening which was good. They have a fantastic wine and whiskey list - way... More

very relaxing weekend, despite the dodgy shower (replaced immediately we mentioned !) and the ever creaking floor boards (luckily no bedroom below to annoy other guests). The room was rather cool and a pair of heavy curtains would help the venetian blinds fight the early morning light. We were both a wee bit disappointed with the menu, we had expected a... More

This pub/restaurant has become very special to me over the past year or so. Having first visited it in May 2011, I have been back regularly but most notably over the New Year period in 2011/2012. The pub area, which you encounter as you come through the front door is not very large but it is very welcoming. Food can... More

Arrived to check in and found the doors were locked so I suggest that future customers don't arrive before 6.00pm. Our room was clean but tired looking and too cold for comfort. The bar was very friendly and warmer though I was glad of my warm jumper and shawl. The guest beer, fish and chips were good. Note that the... More

Just popped in for a quick coffee whilst heading up the A1. Everything was excellent - landlord, surroundings, service, company etc - and left me wishing we were staying for a drink and dinner. also very child friendly.

Two guest ales that are constantly changed and kept in good condition make this a good place to go in the Scottish Borders if you like your beer. Good food (with an excellent wine list) also make it a good place for dining. Small hamlet location just a few miles inland from A1 good for going into the hills of... More
