We stayed at the Glengarry Castle Hotel for one night and had a nice stay. It's in a quiet area and situated on a beautiful loch - the scenery is great. The breakfast was good and the grounds were very nice. They had a quaint library with games and a fireplace nearby which was very charming. The staff were extremely... More

We stayed here for just one night sadly. It is about our 8th visit as we love it so much. My favourite hotel in the world for dinner, afternoon tea, setting, ambience, its got it all. Can't wait to return!

I have got everything I wanted from Glengarry. When I was looking for a place to stay for 4 nights in highlands I dreamed about some old house near the sea or the lake with no crowds and noise around. In Glengarry I have fond all this and even more. The hotel is old, but very well maintained and cared... More

Where do you start? Beautiful hotel grounds kept in excellent condition The room was stunning and the food was out of this world! It was brilliant value for money in my eyes This is not trying to be fine dining, just beautifully crafted and presented food in an amazing location, what more could you ask for?

This was our first trip to Glengarry (we often pass by over winter when it's not open). We loved the idea of a grand country mansion presented in a relaxed style - we enquired about the bar and the staff said "that's us"; we grabbed a table in one of the beautiful public rooms and drinks arrived moments later -... This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful setting. We had a deluxe king room which was very spacious and comfortable. The furnishings could have come from my grandmother's house but were entirely appropriate. We had booked bed & breakfast but upon arrival, and enchanted by the setting, decided to have dinner there as well. Big mistake. They seemed to... More

We only stopped by for afternoon tea but I have to say that the scones were absolutely delicious - warm, light and melted in the mouth. If this is typical of the hotel food, I would like to stay here!

One of these rare places where you feel that you should talk in whispers all of the time.Beautiful building, stunning scenery and a warm (if sometimes a little formal) welcome.Excellent dinner rounded off with coffee in the lounge. If I tell you that the loudest noise in the hotel was the hour striking on the grandfather clock and that a dinner gong... Although Glengarry Castle Hotel bills itself as a castle, it is more of an old grand house (although the ruins of Invergarry Castle are on the ground). For anyone wanting an old style Highlend Gentry experience, I imagine it fits the bills very well - very nicely appointed and traditionally laid out. Food was excellent. Unfortunately for us we misjudged... More
