We went to Memphis for the first time to see Beale street and Graceland and reserved a room at the Rodeway Inn. The outside looked a little run down but the staff was friendly and welcoming and the room had been recently painted and was large and comfortable. It was perfect enough for our purposes in Memphis.

This place looks old and probably less than nice from the outside, but it was a really nice place! Rooms are large, beds were comfy, there was plenty of room with the pull out couch too. It had just been remodeled. The proprietor was awesome and the breakfast was adequate.

We were not sure pulling up for many reasons. Once in the room though it was clean and big. Lots of channels. Comfortable beds and spacious area. Looked newly remodeled to us. Close to our main food destinations.

Good value for money. Staff was very friendly. We are making a road trip and had a car full of luggage. I was very glad that the parking lot was brightly lit at night. Short cab ride into town, about ten dollars for two people.

The room was HUGE! Clean, updated, and well kept. It is clearly an old motel that has been redone, and they did a pretty nice job with it. The neighborhood is fine - across the street from a hospital parking ramp and near several apartments. We never felt unsafe here. And there are plenty of security cameras around the property....
