We stayed for one cold March night, but received a very warm welcome. Our friends were getting married at the Ruthin Castle, and Sir John Trevor House offered a perfectly located place to stay, a stones-throw from the castle. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a good view over the hills, and a gorgeous bathroom. The house is very... More

We had an excellent stay at Sir John Trevor House - Jackie is a fabulous host and the house is a joy - full of history and character and well located in the centre of town. We only stayed for one night but felt so welcome and will definitely be back again. The breakfast was excellent and served in the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed over in Sir John Trevor House in the summer, as our friends were getting married in the castle. Jackie was a lovely host, and the town house was beautiful and full of character. I would happily recommend Sir John Trevor House to anybody wanting a delightful stay in the area.

Gorgeous B&B, the room was large and spacious with beams on the ceiling and adjoined to the bedroom was the largest bathroom I have ever seen in a B&B or hotel! Huge! It had everything you would need for a comfortable stay and was really homely too. Jackie was really friendly and helpful especially when it came to where we... More

Thank you for such wonderful compliments about your stay with us, it's such a horrible journey you have to drive to get here from your area so it's great when your accommodation comes up to expectations and that Dali (the cat), who likes to vet everyone when they arrive to see if they are potential titbit givers from breakfast, behaved... Lovely house in convenient location, good breakfasts. We were made to feel really welcome by Jackie, she is a real character and we felt as though we had always known her, she obviously enjoys sharing her beautiful house with guests. No parking at the property but this was not a problem as we were able to park very close by... More

We spent the weekend at St John Trevor House with friends from South Africa. I chose this B&B as it looked quite old and my friends would have loved it. The B&B is very close to Ruthin Castle which was perfect as we were attending the medieval banquet. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The breakfast was great and... More

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a short but very sweet stay at Sir John Trevor House. Jackie was lovely and friendly and the room we had was clean and had bags of character. The full English breakfast was also a highlight. Jackie was also able to accommodate my girlfriend's vegetarian preference at the last minute. After we left, we went... More

I agree with previous comments regarding service, breakfast etc. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and objets d'art around the place. Sumptutous. The many pots, pans and high quality china on display were absolutely gleaming. I wish mine at home were as clean! I loved my room but recommend the blue and white room with the MAJESTIC bathroom. A real treat.... More

Thank you for your fantastic review and for saying such great things about our b&b it's always interesting to find that not everybody likes the 'minimalist' approach to visitor accommodation and we like our guests to feel at home from when they arrive to when they leave and hopefully to return to us for another visit.
