We recently spent 4 days at Riverside Cottages during a trip around Australia and would have stayed longer if our timetable had allowed it. The well appointed themed cottage was one of a small number spaced out amongst trees in a secluded, but well maintained, setting within yards of a river whose sound makes a wonderful backdrop at night time. The log fire was lit when we arrived and each morning the helpful owner delivered a loaf of still warm, home made, bread to us. The accommodation is located within half a mile of the centre of Marysville where we found a number of good places to eat.

Lake Mountain is located very close to Marysville and even when there is no snow the artificially iced toboggan slope is a must for the adventurous.

We found the accommodation well located and excellent value for money.
