Don't stay whatever the price. Room was dirty, the place looks closed and should be .I called and booked by phone, the person on phone said they had some problems last year and got bad reviews but this year they were under new mgt and he assured me the rooms would be clean, he lied!

Had a great time - lodge was ok - staff is very courteous. The owner is working on remodeling rooms currently. A little old, but aren't we all! It was a comfortable walk to town. I will go back. Refrigerator worked GREAT! Yes I took my own sheets and pillows, but I do that almost everywhere we go!

Ok listen yes the hotel is old but it is always been very clean! No bugs in rooms etc. They do have a microwave and frig in each room. Remember all hotels in Bandera are old, you are going there to have fun not stay in the room all day!!! The owners are very nice...Prices are always reasonably!

The beds are bad, mattresses must be 100 years old and cheap as hell. The towels are bad. The decor is bad. Our room and our friends room had German Cockroaches. The a/c did work. Earning this hotel one star!

Made the mistake of staying here recently. One of the mattresses had large blood stains on its side making me wonder if there had been a murder committed in this room. The Lodge is old and shabby, not well maintained. Service indifferent. Amenities non extistant. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. We stayed one-reluctantly. The only thing good about this place was the restaurant next door. Excellent service and food. Papa's Italian Grill
