We drive the I10 route every couple of years from FL to CA. We used to stay at the Swiss Clock Inn years ago when it was one of the nicer hotels in Fort Stockton. I snapped a picture for all to see. This is just filler because I need 200 characters. When we stayed there it was a Best... More

I stayed in Fort Stockton, Texas on the night of June 1, 2012 at the Comfort Suites which is next door to the Swiss Clock Inn. It was very apparent that the Swiss Clock Inn had suffered a major fire recently and is no longer in business at this time. I just want to alert other travelers about this situation.

This is one of those dusty little towns in the middle of nowhere located in the lower gut of Texas in that great desolet space between San Antonio and El paso. Not a place you would ever "plan" to stop but more a place where you "have" to stop or face driving another 5 hours to San Antonio or 3... More

The hotel is a little misleading, as it’s going through some renovation. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, probably the best in town. My first visit was for just two days, but I came back for an extended stay and have decided to make this my home away from home.

We arrived at this hotel on July 15th to find it under new management and we had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to take care of us. Our room was newly upgraded and we found everything bright and clean. We encountered a number of staff working around the hotel. It... More

This place was the scariest place ever. We thought it was a best western, I think it used to be but now it's not. We showed up, the room was down a dark hall, totally not safe, when we opened the door all the furniture was up on the bed and on the coach, so strange. Then there were papers... More

The hotel staff was very nice. Went out of there way to help with luggage. Checked in late and was nice to see a person who cared enough to offer help. Room was more spacious than other best westerns ive stayed at. Will definately book another stay when passing through.

Considering that this is a motel and is in Fort Stockton, it is very, very nice. I was surprised by the extremely comfortable beds, cushy bedding, and classy decor. The rooms are much nicer than a standard motel room and much closer to a Marriott than a Days Inn. I also thought the price was reasonable - with a dog... More

We didn't have rsvs & stopped at the Best Western Swiss Clock. The room was too expensive for the area. However, the room was clean. Breakfast was marginal. It was served at a restaurant next door.
