Actually 3-1/2 stars - better than average and just a touch below very good. Probably an above-average Hampton Inn. The room was comfortable (although smelling a bit too strongly of air freshener/cleaner) and clean. The staff at the main desk were always friendly and helpful. The public areas and parking are very clean and well maintained. The corridors are well lit and very clean with nice cheerful carpet. The suite was very clean, sheets crisp, towels white and crisp. Very over priced. Stayed there 12-23-2011. They said price was high because of the holidays. Must have been alot of walk up traffic, no cars in parking lot. Love Hampton Inn's, just not the price for what you get. More

We chose the Hampton Inn because it is in walking distance to the downtown Fredericksburg and it was suited for a family.
