We arrived a day before our cruise departure..we chose this hotel because you can park and keep your car there all week at no charge. They even provide shuttle to the terminal. This hotel(?) was a disgrace. Granted, it is old, but "old" does NOT mean it has to be dirty, & this hotel was dirty. The heavily stained carpet was most likely the original; we never took our shoes off for fear of getting our socks filthy. We went to Galveston over Labor Day and stay at the Holiday Inn on the seawall. We experienced the BEST customer service. The hotel was terrific. If you are thinking about going to Galveston GO, you won't be sorry! more

We came here after checking out of the Hawthorn at the Victorian Condos (gross-had to leave). Got a room with 2 queen beds. Big jump up coming here. Must be recently redone. Lobby beautiful. While the hallways are outdoors, the rooms were pretty nice and the view was amazing. Our hotel was right in the middle of a bunch of tourist shops and across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. I really liked it. more
