I stayed for one night and it was very cheap but it shows. PROS: cheap, good location, A.C. works great, electric shower provides hot water, nice staff CONS: confusing entrance, only sheets on the bed, sheets seemed grubby, and lots of ants. Now they aren't the biting kind but when you are trying to sleep and they are crawling on... More

I had been recommended to this hotel by friends, so I expected a better accommodations than I received. The owners are a nice local family. The grandmother is always around, and her son who runs the hotel is nice. The hotel lobby feels like (and maybe is) their living room. I understand this is what a Posada originally meant, that... Dona Alicia and her son Don Jose keep a lowkey, quiet and immaculate property. Rooms here are basic but very clean and comfortable. The main entrance is off the quiet interior street and the back entrance is off the more lively lakeside malecon, so if you want to avoid the possibility of streetnoise from the lakeside at night you may... The hotel has two receptions accessible from two different streets. It seems like different people operate different sections of the hotel. We rented two rooms at the second level of the building with windows facing the inside patio. At night it was quiet and during the day we could use some of the hammocks and look out at the lake.... We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. Maybe we had a bad room, or maybe we had higher standards than other people, but the room we had was a real disappointment. At the end of a long bus ride to Flores or after a long day in Tikal, this is not where I'd want to come back to.... More

We had a long bus trip from Palenque, Mexico and arrived in Flores town at 4pm. we were looking for a budget priced hotel next to the lake. our stay were very good! the staff were friendly, our room was clean and 190 GTQ but not comfortable without the air conditioning so we did pay an additional charge to use... Nice hotel located on the edge of the lake. Spent the evening sitting out watching the local people at the waters edge, especially at the weekends. Try all the local food stalls, very cheap and nice. Rooms in the hotel that are internal with no ventilation should be avoided. At the oposite side od the island (a 10 minute walk)... More

Excellent location, decent rooms for the price and the hammocks made it a great find.

I stayed here the beginning of 2012 and to be honest when you pay 15us for a room you don't really expect much. Their rooms are clean and neat. The owners are super friendly. It's not loud and it has a great view. That's about all i can say about it. It's a great place to stay.

I went here not really knowing what to expect, and it wound up being awesome. When you first walk in it just looks like a little hotel, but then it opens up to a lovely patio with a great view of the lake. The rooms are super clean and the family that owns it is really friendly. There was some... More
