I'm writing this review to refute some older negative ones on this site. This facility has obviously been renovated and is one of the better values locally. We were especially attracted by the fact that our dog was welcome without size limits or excessive restrictions (e.g. maximum size 9#, fees of $1 per pound, etc) that we have found elsewhere. We... more

The motel was VERY clean and nice. The staff was friendly and the air conditioning was on when we arrived. The motel is pet friendly and did not charge an extra fee for the dog. There is also a great restaurant right next door called Gumbo. more

The service could not have been better. We needed a place to stay after helping our daughter move to East Texas. We arrived around 6PM hot, thirsty, and tired. The express check in was fantastic. The desk clerk courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the air conditioning had been turned on in advance so it was comfortably cool... more

I stayed at the La Quinta in September 2008 while in Nacogdoches for Parent's Day. I ignored the previous comments about the hotel thinking that sometimes people can be too picky, but I will say that they are right on the money about the cleanliness of the room. I had no problems with the staff. It was the cleanliness of... more

Originally I booked this stay Dec. 17, 2007 scheduling online. My stay involved Dec 23-25, 2007. The following day I called this facility directly to make changes. "Jason" answered the phone and after just a minute or so he was more than willing to argue with me that I did not call the day before. He also told me "you... more

I have been staying at this LaQuinta for more than 5 years. My husband is in the oil and gas industry and works in the Nacogdoches area for more than half the year. We live about an hour away, so one or two weekends a month I go to Nacogdoches to spend the weekend with him. When I first started... more

My only complaint is the beds. They were like sleeping on cement... very uncomfortable. I was restless and couldn't get comfortable. My husband and I both woke up with backaches. Everything else was fine though and the staff were very nice. Unfortunately because of the rock-hard beds, my family won't be returning to this particular LaQuinta. more

I really liked the exterior corridors (which are fast disappearing) and the quiet, pine-shaded pool area that looks like East Texas. The hotel is older, but the rooms have been remodeled and nice. There's still some minor problems like outlets not working and some mold (much worse at the brand new Holiday Inn Expresses). The breakfast had a wide variety... more

Weeks before our planned trip to Nacogdoches I made reservations for 1 non-smoking room with 2 double beds. Instead of checking in when we first arrived in town early that morning, we did some sight-seeing and shopping. Before check-in time I went to La Quinta to check in. The woman told me they had overbooked and blamed it on another... more
