Several of my classmates stayed at the Pelican while in Palacios for our high school class reunion. We loved it here. Plenty of room for us to spread out and visit. I stayed in the garden room, it was very clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and the views are amazing. Thank you for a great weekend!

On our 7th honeymoon celebration, my wife and I totally dug the house, its furnishings, location, ambiance, and history. The breakfast was surpassed only by our congenial hostess’s inspiring tales and wealth of area heritage info.

My girlfriends and I stay at this b&b every year. It is a great relaxing trip. We are in 7th grade and pay our own fee. The rooms are priced wonderfully! Edith was an excellent host and we thorughly enjoyed our visit. Our room on the second floor was spacious and had a great view of the bay. Edith, the Inn Keeper is a great host and the place is a 100 year old charming victorian that has been maintained pretty well. The bathrooms were excellent, and the house is kept very spic and span. This old house is spotless, grand, elegant, and fun, with fabulous views of Matagorda Bay. Edith is wonderful with breakfasts and with wine at cocktail hour, and VERY accomodating. Too bad she doesn't do dinners!! I have stayed here several times, and now wouldn't stay anywhere else when I am in the area!! This B&B is the best.
