We had originally planned to stay 2 nights, but ended up staying 4. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable....The beds are amazing!! We sat out on the patio and watched the humming birds feed, had a few beers under the full moon, so quiet at night you c0uld hear a pin drop. The owners are super nice and make... More

Stayed for one night passing through on the way to Monument valley 5/6/-5/7. I stayed in room Nr. 1, it was a king side bed with a fairly large room facing the back. This place doesn't have a lot of rooms and is located in a very small town and its not exactly 5 stars, however it does possess a... More

The rooms were just okay, nothing special but comfortable enough. Very friendly people though! And the setting of Mexican hat is really nice. The drive to and from Monument Valley provides some of the most amazing vistas you could wish for. The restaurant downstairs is the real deal. They may only offer 4 dishes but they do it well. Steaks... More

We didn´t stay overnight, but we sure come to dinner every time we´re visiting with our groups of European bikers - that is twice every year - and enjoy the real good steaks and burgers and the atmosphere of the place. It´s not cheap but you´ll enjoy the food and the chef, cooking the steaks and burgers on his very... More

There isn't much to choose from around Monument Valley. However, this place was charming, affordable, quirky and comfortable. Just a short drive from the valley. Our room was clean and cute. Small (what they call "cozy" in apartment searches), but not ridiculously cramped. Clean bedding and towels. Clean bathroom. Plenty of parking (like that is an issue in the middle... More

I thought it was going to be different, something special. It is, but in a bad way. 40 $ for not even a tenderloin (filet pur) is way overpriced. The swing is original but it destroys your expensive steak: the meat makes direct contact with the flames. If you want a medium steak, you get a charcoaled one. The sidedish... More

If you plan on staying near Monument Valley, you are stuck with overpriced motels in Kayenta to the south or Mexican Hat, to the north. This property is a former bar that has been converted to a small motel. Rooms are undistinguished and overpriced. Wi fi was very pokey. However, the property has a very good outdoor restaurant with grill... More

The room we had was OK, clean but a bit tired. Not a very friendly welcome at reception ( or for the rest of the stay for that matter ) when asked if we could buy a beer were told "this is a hotel, not a bar ! " Didn't use The Swinging Steak as menu very limited And expensive... More

We were tired after a long day and slept well, thought the place a bit run down, it could be lovely if tidied up a bit. No internet connection and no breakfast so a bit expensive, I know you are paying for the location. We had an early start and no one was about and reception locked up even though... More

Room on the first floor was large clean and quiet, lovely extra was the swimming pool which as we stayed two nights and most people only stayed one we had to ourselves for the morning of the second day,the area surrounding the pool resembled a building site and needed tidying up. As it was a Motel we considered the price... More
