As we planned hiking in the Needles, we picked Monticello for a one night stay. Glad we picked the Monticello Inn. To be honnest, I can not come up with a single complaint about this motel. It's not new, or fancy, but we also did not expect that. The room is not very large either. Further, we were perfectly happy... More

Other reviewers were nicely positive so we said why not. The desk personnel was delightful and highly informative about the area. Otherwise, it's an average old motel. Lighting so-so, no night tables on either side of the bed. We really expect that with water glasses, reading glasses, and books looking for a safe resting place. The bathroom water faucets both... This was an anniversary road.....Canyonlands and Arches National Parks and Moab. This was end of April. We booked this lovely motel and it was great! Nancy, the owner, was so helpful with the sites to see and restaurants! The motel was very clean, especially the bathroom! Great shower too! Would definitely return!

This area tends toward very high prices compared to the rest of the intermountain west. That's largely due to the tourist influx in Moab. Monticello is just about midpoint from Moab and Mesa Verde. The Monticello Inn is a reasonable alternative. I've stayed in the area frequently and will add this motel to my repeat list. The rate wasn't bad,... More

Very nice, clean rooms with friendly & helpful staff. Central location to many interesting sites nearby. Front desk gave us many suggestions on places to see and their recommendations were very appreciated. No breakfast included, but some restaurants nearby. Included WiFi, microwave, fridge and coffee pot, which are amenities we like to have. Although we found it a little pricey... More

This the friendliest hotel run by the owners themselves. it is clean and comfortable and it is easy enough to get breakfast down the street or have somethinh in your room as there is both a microwave and a refridgerator!! The towels were new and the bedding was soft. There is also free internet which i appreciated very much. If... More

We stayed in the Monticello Inn for one night and were totally satisfied. The motel is cosy, the rooms are spacious, HBO and WiFi are available. In addition, the staff is very helpful and friendly. In a nutshell, we would recommend everybody to chose the Monticello Inn at its reasonable rates.

we stayed here after 2 nights in Moab as we headed south to visit Mesa Verde and then head to Capitol Reef. we chose it because it is pet friendly. Monticello is a very small town and there are few options especially one that takes pets. My review is not as kind as some of the others...our carpet was dirty... More

You were right when you said that I knew the carpets needed cleaned, because I told you that my only other pet room was down because the carpets had been cleaned that day.. I also told you that the carpet was to be cleaned the next day in the room you rented, and it was. The carpet is only 5... More

2013 brought an unusual amount of snow fall.During a business trip, my return travels met with flurries of snow in the dark of the early evening of January. After phoning home for weather reports, I was prepared to plug along, however, at the fuel pump another driver just drove that road in 4WD and slipped around. The Monticello Inn was... More

We often use this motel in the course of our work. It's a mid-twentieth century masterpiece of architechure and one can imagine an Eames lounge chair in every room. That aside, the rooms are modern, extremely clean, and quiet. The owners and front desk staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area--offering suggestions for side trips for your family...
