We had a great weekend at Ambrosia Farms complete with cell phone service. We were greeted by Caroline and Craig with a glass of wine. The accommodations were perfect with a comfortable bed with quilt, air conditioner and plenty of hot water. The floors had radiant heat (not used). We stayed in the cabin made with reclaimed log cabin timbers. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and different both mornings. We enjoyed eating outside on the side porch. We hope to go back soon!

House is charming farmhouse style on country road. We were greeted by a friend of the Innkeepers. Our room was up a steep staircase, small but neatly appointed and very clean, with window air conditioner. Bathroom was cramped. After showing us around and making sure we were comfortable, he said he was leaving and would be back in the morning to cook breakfast, and that we would be alone that night, and could lock the door if we wanted, but "nobody locks doors around here." WHAT? All by ourselves in an unfamiliar house on a lonely road with NO cell service? Very strange. Didn't sleep much that night. The breakfast he cooked the next morning was very good, and the best part of the house was the large, wonderful front porch, and the smaller porch off the kitchen. He thought there were other guests coming the next night, but then said he was mistaken, so we were alone again. It's a place for peace and quiet, reading a book or just winding down. We never did see the owners.

Ambrosia Farm B&B is a great place to stay when visiting the area. It is recommended by Chateau Morrisette Winery, our primary destination. The hosts are outstanding. The breakfasts were the best we have had compared to all other B&Bs where we have stayed. We sat on the porch and watched Hummingbirds feed. A plus is the Floyd , VA downtown area and restaurants.

We stayed one night in the East Cabin room. It was cute and cozy. Rustic. The property is beautiful and quiet. A real retreat. Craig and Caroline are so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was all organic and just fantastic! We dined out on the porch and the hummingbirds were abundant. A great place to return to!

We spent one night here while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. The farmhouse is quaint and historic. We stayed in the big house in the ground floor. The doors and ceilings were very low because of the age of the house, so my tall husband had to take care not to bump his head, but it was no problem for me. The bedroom was pretty dark. We enjoyed the fireplace and the bed was comfortable enough. We did not get to meet Caroline as she was away, but Sally was friendly and took good care of us. The location is lovely - away from town in rolling green hills with woods nearby. It is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the sunset. We got to chat a little with Craig, but he was mostly working from his home office. He recommended a walk for us to take, so we did, before breakfast, and it was a perfect way to start the day. Breakfast on the back porch was yummy. This is not a foo-foo B and B with fancy soaps, and and everything spit-spot polished, but more like a visit to a neighbors house.

We booked this B and B because the description sounded awesome and it was. The location is beautiful rural Virginia and very peaceful and quiet. The House has a totally warm and cozy feeling and the staff are the same. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and the food was out of sight.

The Innkeepers made the stay just like home starting with a tour of the antique farm house and grounds. A morning hot beverage on the front porch followed by a fresh "picked" filling breakfast starts the day. This is not a hotel, you are part of the family.
