Beaver Glen B&B was fabulous. We just got back today from a long weekend near Meadows of Dan. Our favorite part of the house was the great outdoor seating. The back porch was lovely in the mornings and the front porch was great for sunsets in the evening. Wonderfully comfortable living quarters and food that was absolutely delicious. All the amenities anyone could ask for in addition to hiking ideas, places of interests and nearby restaurant ideas are provided. Thank you for such a lovely stay, just what we needed!!!

As per some reviewers, we have stayed at quite a few B&Bs, and also found this one to be extra special. It is in a superb location for nature lovers right beside the parkway, close to Mabry Mill and hiking, as well as the shops at Meadows of Dan and the Chateau Morrisette winery. No light pollution so the star gazing should be wonderful if there are clear skies. The Woodberry Inn restaurant is a short 5-minute drive away and has great burgers and salads. The photos are somewhat misleading as when you walk through the front door of what appears to be a rancher or split level, you find yourself on a balcony up high with the rafters looking down over a great room that reminds one of a ski lodge with a fireplace, large screen TV and windows overlooking the back yard. There are numerous books, VHS tapes and DVDs as well as jigsaw puzzles with a table provided. Very comfortable furniture! There is a large Sage room that has its own deck and hot tub upstairs. Because this was occupied we stayed in the Plum room. Though smaller, it is cozy and has a large king-size sleigh bed, nice size en suite bathroom, closet, and its own flat screen TV. It is very convenient to the great room with the keurig coffee maker and its diverse selection of coffees right outside the room. There are not only wrapped chocolates and vending machine size snacks in the room, but also wrapped chocolates in the great room along with delicious brownies. The small stocked refrigerator in the great room has free cokes, energy drinks, bottled water and Heineken beer. Late afternoon there is a spread of cheese, crackers, nuts and Chateau Morrisette wine provided as well as later in the evening after dinner liquor with specialty chocolate treats. Breakfast consisted of blueberry waffles in a bowl with sausage links and an egg casserole with bacon and ham the next day. The Plum room also has access to a covered back porch overlooking the backyard where we sat outside and listened to the katydids call. Very relaxing! We are sorry we had not discovered this B&B previously. We will definitely return! Highly recommend.

WOW! This is a GREAT place. We’ve stayed in many B&B’s, and this is one of the best. Only two rooms in a huge building - the great room is as big volume-wise as our home - and very nice grounds. Everything about this B&B is top-notch. Started with wine and cheese when we checked in, and after dinner liquors available later. Refrig was stocked with all sorts of drinks. We stayed in the Sage room, with the private hot tub - which we enjoyed. Room was large with a king bed and nice sheets, bathroom was nice and spotless with plush towels and a nice shower. We stayed midweek in later August and there is no room-controllable A/C which may have been nice after using the hot tub, but with the windows open it got chilly later in the night. Breakfast by Barbara was really good, as was conversations with her. I would HIGHLY recommend this B&B to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

Mom and I really enjoyed our stay at Beaver Glen. The accommodations were both beautiful and comfortable and, after a day spent driving on I-81, the hot tub was most appreciated! The directions were excellent and we particularly enjoyed the deer that was standing at the driveway to greet us. (Unfortunately he had only come to eat the landscaping, much to our hostess's distress.) There was wine and cheese waiting for us in the lofty common room and several excellent restaurants within easy reach. (Be warned, many restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday.) We slept well and breakfast the next morning was excellent. In fact, it was so filling that we had to skip our planned lunch at Chateau Morrisette. Which simply means that we will have to come back in the future and enjoy the whole experience again!

We had a great time here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed at the door, despite our late arrival. The food was great, the room was a great size. The hot tub was ready and perfect in the fall night air. The location is right off the Parkway and close to Chatteau Morrisette, and not far from a quick shopping trip into Floyd. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Beaver Glen. It had everything you could ask for and then some. It started with a tour of the property along with some local wine and cheese. We stayed in the SAGE Room upstairs. It was beautiful and so comfortable. There is a hot tub on the deck which we soaked in under the stars. Barbara is a fantastic host and has thought of everything, including snacks, candies, beer, coffee, & cold bottled water. She was also very accomodating on our breakfast which was delicious! We were thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. We would love to come back, but next time we will stay longer! I would also recommend visiting Primland Resort which is close by - amazing Golf and Spa.

This was probably the nicest B&B experience we have ever had. We were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and only booked one night. We truly recommend slowing down and spending at least 2 nights at this beautiful place. The details are just amazing, Barbara did not miss one thing. So close to the BRP, and, as we discovered, there is a lot in the area that would warrant a longer stay. Maybe next time for us. We did not expect to have so many complementary items such as wine and cheese, cordials, soda, beer, coffee, chocolates...chocolates :) as well as a delicious homemade full breakfast.
