I was at the Dolphin Guest House recently and I chose to stay there because it seems beautiful, clean and well kept in the pictures shown int the website. However, upon arriving there It was disappointing. This place needs a lot of work. The bedspreads looked rundown, a couple of holes in it and overused. The curtains on the window... More

I recommend this place for its safety, cleanness and very good service offered by the staff. The room was nice and clean. Wi-Fi worked well in the entire property. The breakfast was delicious, the best we had during our 12 days stay in Nicaragua. Breakfast was included it with our reservation.

We stayed at the Dolphin for 4 weeks. We found it to be a little oasis after the heat of the day in the city where we were volunteering for a few weeks. There is a pool but the pool staff had some challenges with balancing the chemicals despite maintaining it every week day. You can walk to the grocery... More

My husband and I, along with another couple, spent a week at Hotel Dolphin in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. It was our first time traveling out of the USA and everything went very smoothly- thanks mostly to the staff very friendly and helpful. The home and the grounds were beautiful, spacious and secluded.... More

We stayed upstairs with a balcony over looking the pool and a great view of the volcano. The room had a full kitchen and was huge. We had no air but the fans kept us comfortable. We had a rental car to get us to Granada which was 5 minutes away where we bought groceries and liquor. I definitely recommend... More

Home away from home, but better :) What a relief! We stayed for a few weeks in a spacious, ground floor room with a full kitchen, private bathroom, two beds and sitting area - Great size for my family - with fresh flowers daily. Breakfast was available but it's close to the better supermarkets so we could get more variety... More

The revamp of the hotel by the new management has been great! I’m impressed by the improvements and the care that has been taken with the detail that make a stay there so nice. The entire place is spotless and the new staff could not be more helpful. I’ve stayed here several times through the years particularly because of the... More

Dolphin is waaaay too far outside of town, well beyond walking distance, taxis are not easy to come by, it's not clean, staff not helpful, no breakfast, no food at all. Benjamin, the owner, was standoffish and rude. Stay elsewhere!

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our goal is to provide excellent service. As you can see, from previous reviews, they were positive. During the month of December we went through new changes at Dolphin. This included new management operated by Group Xalteva. We do want to affirm you that our pictures of Dolphin are... More

the owners of this hotel have gone through a bad divorce and the hotel is dirty and the family members are living in it. The pool has not been cleaned in months, the rooms are dirty and the kitchen is filthy. There was never a breakfast offered, the bar was dry and they take your money ahead of time and... More

The web-site pictures make this place look stunning. This is just the pictures though, and far from reality. When we arrived, the guesthouse helper was taking televisions in and out of our room trying to find one that works. They were not ready for our arrival despite a reservation weeks in advance. This house looks like it was once a... More
