We stayed here last night and what a lovely place, steeped in history added bonus, Staff friendly and very helpful. Bathroom spotlessly clean, thick toilet paper,(not that cheap thin stuff) and complimentary toiletries. Flat screen TV. Tea/coffee, biscuits in room and lovely fresh cotton sheets with squishy pillows. The double bed was more like an Emperor size and so comfortable.... More

We got married at the Grimsdyke in July 2011 so please bear in mind this review covers both the hotel and the wedding. Mostly it was very good with a few areas for improvement along the way. Wedding planning: Good points: We chose the Grimsdyke because they offered a summer barbeque which sounded a nice change and the menu looked... More

We stayed overnight in this hideaway hotel to celebrate our 29th Wedding Anniversary. I was desparate for it to snow on our Wedding day but had to wait 29 years and boy did it snow! A beautiful hotel in fabulous surroundings. We walked in the grounds around the hotel in the crisp snow after a lovely breakfast. Our hotel room... More

The Opera Dinner is an experience not to be missed by any G&S fan. This former home to Gilbert is the perfect venue for his operas. The singers were excellent, the staff were great and the combination of venue, show and dinner worked perfectly for us. To top it off the rooms were only £50 when attending the dinner and... More

We stayed here just one night as we were at a party close by and couldn't be bothered to drive. Booked on the day, got good rates although breakfast wasn't included. We were taken to a seperate block away from the hotel but it was very nice, clean and warm. The bar and breakfast area was lovely, breakfast reasonably priced... More

I decided on booking the Grim's Dyke hotel based on appearance and price. Although the hotel is not near the city it is conveniently located on the Metropolitan line. You need to get off at Harrow on the Hill and take a taxi to the hotel which will cost you approximately 10 - 15 pounds. Travel time to London is... More

Stayed for one night and as I come to the area for business often I will always stay here from now on. For £67 for the night it's great value. The room is clean and well appointed with a modern bathroom. The room service food was perfect and hot even though it had to be carried from the main house.... More

Our family of seven had Xmas dinner here (this is our main restaurant for birthdays, celebrations etc) but I have also stayed here and I would probably stay elsewhere but drive here for the food as the accommodation and the staff that go with aren't up to par. However, the restaurant staff and food is like a different company. The... More

I took my elderly mum for afternoon tea at the Grims Dyke for her birthday on Boxing day. The champagne, sandwiches and cakes were all delicious. The atmosphere was very festive, and the staff were pleasant without being overly attentive. I had initially book the Ritz, at £60 per head for Boxing Day, plus travel. Decided to go locally instead... More
