Over the last 10 years or so have stayed at this budget hotel on a number of occasions. Rarely found fault in what is an out and out budget hotel. Yes it is a basic hotel but what do you expect for around £30 a night? Yes the place in some respects could do with an update but it is... More

What do you expect for Runcorn? I can't complain 'cos I didn't actually pay we got it as a present for New Years Eve and I'm glad because there's no way on earth I would pay to stay here, rooms are small and dingy with a tiny bathroom. Spend a bit more and go the Holiday Inn instead.

This hotel is really well located in relation to the Railway Station some 200 yards away from the exit. Although looking a little tired and in need of some refurbishment, the deal which included cooked breakfast was good with unlimited tea and coffee. While on the subject of the breakfast this was cooked to order and served piping hot, all... More

Small rooms ideal for 1 night stopovers. Always warm. Adjacent pub sometimes noisy - adjacent road sometimes noisy. Avoid ground floor. Avoid 'pub' facing rooms. Most guests are adult EU travellers or UK workers. Staff always excellent when I have been. Breakfast esp continental and coffees really suits me. Good mini conference facilities. It is a good value budget stopover... More

Room was not as photos shown on the website it was like a unfurbished budget chalet in a holiday camp, traffic noise all night, very small room , the bed sloped down on one side , if I had paid full price for this room I would have been very annoyed oh and you could smell smoke in your room... Pleasant staff and good value food and drink in the restaurant room was clean though a little dated . Down side was that rooms could do with better sound proofing noise could be heard from all surrounding rooms.

A very basic 2 star hotel which provides cheap overnight accomodation. All areas were spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast was very nice at a supplement of £6.00 (for a further £2.75 you can upgrade to a cooked breakfast). Overall would recommend for a mid-week cheap place to stay.

I booked my first 2 days last week and the rooms are ok but cold and they only have 1 plug socket - which the TV is plugged into...so if you have a laptop its the TV that gets the chop. Why they only have 1 electrical plug socket is beyond me. On the Friday as I was leaving, I... More

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was small, cramped and tired. The razor point was broken, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the bathroom just felt wrong! The shelf in the bathroom was covered in a musty smelling water in the morning; where this came from goodness only... More

Paid £41. Rather basic. Friendly staff. Beds were comfy and clean. Location is good, right next to Runcorn bridge. Rooms could do with an upgrade, re-paint etc, curtains had a big hole in them, outside needs a good paint and general tidy up. Although we had a good nights sleep we won't be staying again.
