I've stayed here 4-5 times a year since 1999. Best of the best (unless you have "Ritz" tastes). Comfortable rooms, caring & responsive staff, good to superb food. Still recovering from the earthquake, of course, but nevertheless still a great place to stay. Large open air dining and lounging area is always quite pleasant. Bring cover in rainy season --... The Cyvadier is a very pleasant hotel with a beautiful view from the terrace/restaurant. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean with a ceiling fan (no air). The service was ok, although the restaurant (breakfast) followed the Haitian pace (slow). The restaurant was alright. Unfortunatelly, my room was towards teh parking lot which meant that the light would... More

Went with a group of friends and had a great time. Great bar and restaurant overlooking the ocean, beautiful! Great food and fresh fruit drinks, great host. I would recommend this place for anyone heading down to Jacmel for the weekend or longer, checkout the local spots too like Bassin Bleu and Kabic beach. More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away with a few other friends. We would happily return. The place is very relaxed and a charm that many Haitian "hotels" do not (think rambling plants, colorful tile, wicker furniture). We are both vegetarian and were thrilled to find out that the owner was once vegetarian and could easily accommodate... More

Before going to Haiti, I went to Trip Advisor and since I saw that Florita was ranked number One, I stayed there for one night, and I truly said" Come on People! Are you crazy or is Tripadvisor being fooled by fake guests?" I know Florita is a quaint place with old furnitures but the service is not top notch... More

Fish filet was actually bits of fish lumped together. There was rice but zero vegetables. Sorbet for desert was runny. Bread was white toast. The butter was actually margarine. One night with food/drinks amounted to $100 per head. For the same amount I stayed at a Balinese ecolodge where everything was truly top notch. More

Came for a weekend out of PAP and loved this little hotel except for restaurant service. They need to put on menu that you may need to wait an hour or more for food to be prepared and bring out some bread or nibbles. Perhaps retire to the bar after ordering or order in advance. Breakfast was certainly leisurely- an... More

Although my time was brief at the Hotel Cyvadier, I really enjoyed my night there. Staff was friendly, food was good (though it takes FOREVER) and the beach is beautiful. I felt safe both inside and outside the property walls, talking a long walk down the main street. Until reading these reviews I was unaware that the hotel had been... More

The rooms are fantastic. Christophe, the manager, is great. He is on top of everything. The restaurant is just a step behind. The waiters don't seem to communicate. We had a group, and two of the people in our group ordered drinks that never came, even though two separate waiters asked for drinks. The quality of the food was good,... More
