If people and service are more important to you than up to date plumbing fixtures, you'll probably love your stay at The Governor. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous, and the included breakfast exceeded expectations. Bathroom fixtures were really worn and out of date, yet serviceable. Great location. The Governor is in a great location to see downtown Olympia and hop on the freeway to other areas. It provides free parking to guests so you don't have to worry about your car. The standards kept at the governor were hardly first class. The halls had an unidentifiable unpleasant odor to them. The room had a cigaret smell in our non-smoking room. When we checked in the clerk insinuated that my wife was a prostitute. This "First Class" hotel VS. Motel 6. Motel 6 wins every time. More
