We enjoyed this establishment for our anniversary and were referred by another couple who go there every year for theirs. Yes the place is dated but the room we had has a spectacular view of the bay from the in-room huge jacuzzi. The included breakfast is so-so but we did not go there for the food! There are lots of... This was a surprisingly enjoyable stay. I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews I saw about this property, so I was glad when I saw for myself. For an extra cost, we opted to upgrade to the newer, renovated section that had a jetted tub. We had no problem with cleanliness of our room. It... More

I really liked this place. I am on a bicycle trip through Port Townsend and stayed an extra day because of the weather. I found it to be spotless. Good breakfast...nice staff. I really looked the place over and can't think of a single fault...oh, not quite perfect...the breakfast coffee is weak...bring a Starbucks instant...the little coffee unit in the... More

This hotel has a good location but you can't see out the windows because they are too dirty. It's a dump. Spend your money elsewhere and if there's no place left in town to rent, sleep in your car. More

I sincerely apologize you had a bad experience with us. Because we are a waterfront property we do have a lot of salt water sprays that leave film on the window. We have changed windows cleaning schedule to work with weather and check-in time. Also, we have made changes to housekeeping methods and check list to eliminate any mistakes. We... More

Dirty, dirty, dirty! We should have walked right back out the door...In the first 10 minutes we were there we found a open beer can behind the TV, sunflower shells on the side of one of the beds and a nasty dirty sponge next to the sink (did they really think someone would want to use that??). Right then we... More

We are absolutely horrified to hear you had experience with bed bugs. We apologize for such terrible experience. We can understand how uneasy you must feel. Although this is our very first report of any bed bugs, we took it very seriously. We had professional exterminator thoroughly inspect the entire property of any bed bugs. We were relieve to hear... Their website says that all rooms have been recently renovated...except the one we were given. Yuck! Hairs in the bathroom, brown "something" on the wall by the bed, years of dust and dirt in the corners, wobbly deck railing, furniture falling apart, and the tv was so old it does not meet the current ADA requirements for deaf and hard... If you want funky/shabby/dirty, book the Officer & a Gentleman Suite. We guess they have kept this "shrine" because the movie was filmed in Port Townsend and the love scene between Debra Winger & Richard Gere was filmed in this room. The only thing that might resemble the movie scene is the bed spread, which looks like it hasn't been... More

Website is a hoax! Never saw an updated room and was never offered one (which we would have gladly paid for if we knew). Old and dirty room, noisy, smokers next door, dilapidated firepit view. Looks like they started painting the exterior but only got as far as the first floor. Glad we didn't pay for an "outside jacuzzi" room... More

Creepy, cruddy room. Dirty and dark. I literally had to hold a lamp over my suitcase to find anything. Noisy, it's right on the main road (10 feet away). The view was beautiful if you didn't look down at the gross jacuzzi (I use that term loosely), the rotting deck and the disintegrating barbeque pit. There has to be something... More

Came to stay for the Rhody Days celebration. Nice walk to town, and awesome waterfront location with balcony. Too bad it wasn't sunny. Brought our kayaks to launch from. Hotel beach! Fun to watch ferries and cruise ships sail by! Rooms are adequate but really need to be updated! Bathroom does have a hair dryer but no washcloths? Firepit and... More
