okay...here it is for Port Townsend! The Bishop Victorian Hotel is a must stay place if you enjoy all things old and antique! Great corner room with wonderful light and warmth of a gas fireplace and of course what really matters... comfortable bed! This is very clean and you really feel at home here...We had a real quiet stay..with all... More

There are no chain hotels or chain stores in Port Townsend, so it retains an old-world charm. I wasn't sure what to expect staying in such an old building, but immediately upon entering the lobby next door on the street level, I was put at ease with a warm, comfortable, welcoming, nice lobby and friendly service. There were no musty... More

I've been in 5 stars hotels and the worst motels you can imagine. Said this, I learned that the best place to stay is that one that makes you feel comfortable like at home. And this one meets that, what else do you need? Yes, the furniture is old, not antiques, but they work as expected. My grandma should trow... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Bishop and were really excited since it was rated #1 on Trip Advisor. However, our experience would not warrant a high rating. We decided last minute to spend the night in Port Townsend and were able to get a room without an issue. We went up and looked it out and it... More

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend to exchange Christmas gifts between family who live apart, and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even let us use a meeting room to store our gifts, then lit the tree and had hot drinks ready when we were ready. We liked the decor and the... More

This is an old hotel in the heart of a very old town. Stay here if you want to immerse yourself in the history of Port Townsend. Don't stay here if you prefer a modern motel experience. We (5 adults and one dog) spent two nights in Suite 16 just after Thanksgiving. We had stayed here before (15 years ago... More

This is a great old hotel conveniently located in the town, but off the main drag. It needs an update on its furniture, bed linens, etc to continue to compete with the price point. We stayed on the first floor in a one bedroom suite that had window shades, however, the lights from the parking lot are very bright and... More

I stay here frequently for work. The staff are great, continental breakfast delivered daily in a cute basket to your door and right downtown. The only downfall the walls are thin and steep stairwell to room (no elevator). Also room I stay in has no bath. Decorated cute all in Victorian style. More

We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our service and amenities during your stay at the Bishop Victorian Hotel. We do apologize for the steepness of our staircase. Our hotel is a historic Victorian building and we chose to keep the original grand staircase and not install an elevator so as to maintain its Victorian ambiance. Hearing noise through your... More

I stayed at the Bishop Victorian Suites on a Wednesday and Thursday nights, and had a 1-bedroom suite on the main floor. No elevator,so if you want to avoid stairs, you need to book the 1st floor rooms, which cost more. Wonderful ambiance, room was full of comfortable furniture, and antique items, especially the wardrobe and lighting fixtures. My only... More

I stayed for one night on short notice and truly enjoyed my stay. The building and its furnishings are more 80's than antique or victorian in room 19. The advertising indicated that the decor was floral and it was! The wonderful service at the Bishop made up for the somewhat dated furnishings. There was a wedding on the premises the... More

Thank you for sharing your experience at our hotel. We’re glad you had a great time and enjoyed our location and exceptional hospitality. We’re in the process of remodeling some of our rooms, so perhaps during your next visit the decorations will be more to your liking. Looking forward to seeing you again soon! More
