Very well-run and convenient hotel in the heart of downtown Port Townsend - easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in the central waterfront area, 5 minute drive to Fort Worden. Pleasant and helpful staff, nicely furnished and spotless rooms. We chose a cabin which provided extra quiet and privacy, plus no-steps (well, 1 step) accessibility. The space was a bit cramped but they provided everything needed (tv, wifi, private parking space, coffeemaker, frig, microwave, utensils).

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I have loved our stays in the Swan Hotel in the past, and this visit did not disappoint! We love the cabins, which isolate us from the comings and goings of other guests in most hotels. This cute little 'tiny home' had all the amenities we expected, plus some more! When we got around to our left-overs from a fabulous local restaurant (more on that separately) we were chagrined that we had not secured eating utensils. A brief search of the kitchen nook turned up a cute picnic basket, complete with checkered cloth and forks and knives. A wonderful find. We also learned that the hotel is part of the Northwest Maritime Center, another wonderful nautical find in the city. The hospitality was outstanding. They texted us when one of the cabins was ready to go, just in case we wanted to check in early (we did, and we did). Our host Judy was most helpful. One last detail: hooks! We prefer cabins in our travels, and nothing multiplies storage area in a tiny home like hooks on the wall. Sound trivial? Try a visit to a seafront, and THEN figure out where to hang wet towels and the like. Long live the hooks!

This was the second time I've stayed at the Swan, and this time I brought family members. One of them was disabled and the staff was very accommodating, and let them change rooms to one that worked better for them. The beds are comfortable. Really. All four of us remarked at dinner one night how well we were sleeping there. The cleaning crew does a great job. The room heaters work well. The in room coffee and tea service is nice. There's a night light in the bathroom. My first choice in accommodations in Port Townsend!

Very helpful staff. Well located to Port Townsend’s many sights and stores. Near restaurants especially Alchemy, Banana Leaf Bistro Thai and Point Hudson Café. Good view of the harbor. Good for flat walks or you can climb up the nearby hills.

FABULOUS! So many lovely details to make a guest feel appreciated.. the rugs, the luxurious robes, the extra blankets, the fireplace, the special soaps, fluffy rugs, picnic basket!!!!, wine glasses, bathroom heater, easy blinds, personal earplugs ("in case you don't like seagulls")... amazing! Michael, the manager, was such a pleasure to deal with... he "GETS IT"! , and I will be back. THANK YOU!!!!

We had not been to Port Townsend before, and wanted a place to stay providing great walkability. This place was perfect. We could walk to everything. The room was on the main floor of the building and while we could hear some footsteps above it was quiet. And the night was super quiet in this small town. The room was great and the bed super comfy. It was clean and basics were provided. We would stay here again.

This was a fantastic find. We had no plan on where to stay and totally happened upon this. The rooms were clean the staff was friendly and we were within walking distance to all the things we wanted to see and do. It felt like you were staying with family instead of a sterile hotel. Can't wait to go back.

I'm rarely impressed by hotels these days but my cottage at here blew me away! It's simply perfect in every way. Perfect location at the end of historic town for walking, perfect room, perfect special touches and the cutest doggie welcome package that even had my dog's name on it! 🥰 And did I mention absolutely spotlessly cleaned which can be hard to find for a pet friendly room. Love love love this place!!

We loved everything about this quaint little gem. Judy is just incredible to work with, the rooms were immaculate and very accommodating. The bed and pillows were so comfy and fresh. There is no A/C so sleeping with the window open was quite refreshing with the breezes of the harbor. We loved listening to the seagulls as they quieted for the night and then again as they began their day! Alarms are not necessary! Perfect!
