I came to republic with my family in 2007 for a family wedding and the inn was not very good. So the next time we were in town we switched to a hotel up the street but that place didn't turn out to be that great this time we went back to this inn because they have family rooms which... More

Very basic, not expensive place to stay. Traveling with our dog so maybe the other rooms are a bit better. Only tiny bars of soap are furnished as amenities, no shampoo, lotion, hair dryer. They do have a continental breakfast. This is our second stay here in about 8 years and probably won't try it again.

IF I had to give a "Star" rating I couldn't much more than 1.5. Accommodations were adequate but there are many areas that could use improvement but too many to list here without boring you to tears. It's a BASIC Inn which provides basic necessities: a bed, which was comfortable; a large room, which was very accommodating; and a bathroom,... More

Don't be fooled by the pictures online. They are for show only. We went to Republic to dig at Stone Rose. Booked the hotel from the description online. Thought after our long ride we would be sleeping on pillowtop mattresses. We were put in the basement in a room even a dog wouldn't want to stay in. The floors were... More

This place is very old and I don't mean in a nice antique kind of way. The staff service is minimal since the person who helped us had to go and find someone who spoke better English. The carpets are threadbare and the mattresses are soft with age. The whole place smelled damp and stale. Its cheap but I'd rather... More

Pleasant front desk staff. Room and bathroom quite large but the lighting was drab. One picture in the room, no headboards. The beds were saggy and I could see old yellow stains on the sheets. The pillows had a musty old lady perfume smell. It was a pet room and my dog spent much more than the average amount of... More

We were in for a wedding and the pictures online literally had us scared. We are definately city folk and expect a good hotel. Their pictures don't do the place justice. It is actually a really nice place - not 5 star luxury but the best you will find in town. We were in for a wedding and actually the... More

We took a family vacation to Stone Rose. We stayed in the "big' family room and found this Local Inn and town to be big fun for everyone. It was a nice change of pace from bigger more sterile hotels.

After reading the mixed reviews in this web site, we decided not to make reservations and be stuck with something awful. When we arrived on a Tuesday about 3 PM, we got one of the last two rooms left. And what a delightful surprise we had. The long-legged blond cowgirl who greeted us, actually made some changes so we could... More
