Hotel is clean and shows signs of wear just about everywhere. Complementary wireless internet connection is great. Restaurant has awlful, bland, unappealing, overcooked food -- especially breakfast buffett. At 0700 in the morning that seemed strange. Staff is friendly, outgoing and helpful. I had to stay here for business and would choose not to if given the option. Unfortunately there are no other options in the area. The overall appearance of the common areas are excellent. The restaurant, Rumsey Tavern, and reception areas are fine. The rooms are in need of attention. Broken tub, leak in shower head, and an overpowering musty smell that could not be overcome. Staff is helpful and we would return if the rooms receive the attention they deserve. More

Great location to downtown Shepherdstown and short drive to Harper's Ferry. Probably the best hotel in the area and would definitely stay again.
