We've stayed here several times - it's a good place to sit and enjoy the mountain view or to use as a home base for a ski trip. Much cheaper and friendlier than staying at Snowshoe, and less than 1/2 hour drive to the slopes.
Really pleasant hosts are very knowledgable about the area. We tend to ski one day...
