The Blacksmith Inn is honestly the only place I will ever stay, while visiting Door County. My husband and I have been to Door County twice and stayed there on both occassions - we had a perfect experience each time we went! The Blacksmith Inn goes above & beyond in every way. The innkeepers are so welcoming and friendly, the... More

My fiance and I were taking a weekend away in Door County, and we reserved a room at the Blacksmith Inn online, having never been to the area before. We fell in love with the property as soon as we first drove up! The inn is absolutely adorable - it is a large white house with a tiny red door.... More

My husband and I enjoyed the Inn for only one night but it was one of the best we've ever had. The friendly Inn keepers greeted us with warmth and graciousness. Our room had a double hot tub, view of the lake, canopied bed and cozy fireplace. We ordered proseco from the wine list and spent an amazing and romantic... More

My wife and I spent 4 days at The Blacksmith's Inn over our 50th wedding anniversary and loved every aspect of this fine B&B, truly one of the best we've ever stayed in. From pre-arrival contact and help with local reservations, though lovely appointed rooms with balconies facing the harbor, through breakfasts that simply made one want to linger, this... More

We stayed here last minute since our planned vacation to Maine was cancelled due to Hurricane Irene. The room was nice with a balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. TV is VERY small, rooms are decorated in a country decor, and beds are too high to get into easily. Breakfast is basically continental and you eat in your room on a tray.... More

I first discovered The Blacksmith Inn on the Shore in the mid-1990s, and I've stayed there every single year since, during a variety of seasons. I have never had a negative experience while staying there, and I look forward to being in my room as much as I look forward to the vacation as a whole. The building and rooms... More

I found this place after a bit of searching online, looking for a place to get away with my fiance'. Never having been to a B&B before I was hesitant that it would be too 'flowery', but was very pleasantly surprised that it was a comfortable place for the both of us. The owners were helpful and treated us like... More

I can think of several words that accurately describe the Blacksmith Inn: quaint, lovely, and welcoming are the first words that come to mind. Attention to detail is evident everywhere at this romantic inn. As others have mentioned, some of the memorable touches are lemonade and popcorn made fresh every afternoon, the endless cookie jar, and the light yet fresh... More

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights while we were in town for a wedding. Our room was on the second floor in Harbor House. The room was attactively appointed in a northwoods motif. We used the balcony in the morning and evening which was very good sized. The weather for the first half of our trip was... More

Lot's of brilliant parts, not many bad! We stayed in room 2 and the ONLY criticism is that there is no full length mirror which isn't really a problem for the men but us girls do like to look at ourselves before we go out! Other than that, the place is delightful - full of antiques and knick-knacks and we... More
