I visit Cheyenne a couple of times a year and always stay here. Airport shuttle is a big plus. Also like the variety of restaurants in walking distance. Interior rooms are quieter. Hotel restaurant offers buffet breakfast.

I used to live here, and now, coming back through, thought it would be neat to stay here. But it was disappointing. The toilet would only flush 25% of the time, the place needs more renovations, musty smelling, and you can here people very well coming in and out of rooms and in the halls. I will not come back.

My family and I decided to give the Plains a try...BIG MISTAKE. We checked in at approx.. 6:30 pm Friday, June 7,2013 and right off the female working behind the counter was rude. My 2 grown sons were speaking among themselves and she yelled at them..." I CAN HEAR YOU WHISPERING." We all looked at her startled and I said,"... More

On booking in Tyler was extremely helpful and curteouse, nothing was a problem, however in saying that we found that the staff in the dining area to be of the same level of brilliant care and attention to detail. Service was excellent, polite and the food wonderful. The historic decor is appealing and the ambience was wonderful. Great location, walking... More

We stayed a night at the Historic Plains Hotel, and will stay there again. It's a wonderful, old hotel that has been renovated and upgraded. We had a large room with a good bed. Clean, and good ventilation. And a very modest price. We were worried about parking, but found ample street parking close to the entrance. Parking in the... More

Passing through Cheyenne and stayed here for a night. Got a good deal on priceline, about half of what they usually charge ($120). Glad I didn't pay they full price as room was quite small, bed older, and had a window unit for temperature control. Bathroom was small. It is a historical building, but has so much more potential if... More

We LOVE the Plains Hotel. The history and furnishings are amazing. This hotel lets us step back in time to a grander more western time. The staff is so nice, they have valet parking, and it is so close to everything downtown. One of our favorite things is the included breakfast buffet. There are some lovely Cheyenne hotels but there... More

This was a great old building but our first impression was really rough especially with service. We called ahead and received a quote of $80 for the night. We were told there was wifi and mini fridge in the room. When we arrived the female 'manager' at the desk was actually rude to me and the staff! We got to... More

The stay here was great except for 1 thing---- the noise from the main intersection coming up into our 2nd floor room. Between the motorcycles and ambulances (hospital is located down the street 3 or 4 blks)...it was a sleepless night. The Hotel, is clean and a great look at the past...but consider that in the nature of the rooms.... More

This hotel is a great mixture of convenience and history! The staff was helpful and the service-tremendous! Everything is kept in pristine condition while you can still enjoy modern commodities! It's location is great; although if you are a light sleeper I recommend you find another hotel across town because it is only half a mile from the Union Pacific... More
