This is a very nice hotel and resort but it needs to have the furniture, tv, wallpaper, and carpet redone. It is showing its age too much. The staff was wonderful however. The full ocean view we had was very good but the room was too small for the king size bed. There were other towers that perhaps had newer... More

I checked in and the room wasn't ready. I waited 5 hours before I received the key at 3:45PM. The room was old and tired. The bed was ridiculous. It felt like I was sleeping on a marshmellow. Only one cafe type restaurant. Which is why there's steady stream of traffic headed over to the two malls across the street.... More

Don't expect wifi to always work while here. It's sporatic at best. Food is just average, you can get better at other resorts. Beach area is nice, plenty of chairs, at least in February. Rooms are average, beds very comfortable, plenty of pillows. Because we're north of the airport, traffic is much lighter. More

The location is good. There are 2 open air shopping centers that are within walking distance. The infinity pool was very nice. And the pools are open 24 hours. The beach is coarse sand with volcanic rock mixed in. The hotel isn't directly on the beach. There's a lava field between the hotel and the beach. We enjoyed viewing the... More

We've stayed at this hotel 3 times now. Each time stayed with Marriott points redemption (thus, for us it was a great value). The hotel is great, with spacious rooms, good views (we always book the cheapest - mountain view - room and always ask to be upgraded to ocean view. Worked 2 out of 3 times. They are typically... We stayed a week in February. We had a west facing room that suited us as we got the sunset but not the sun during the day. Other rooms face north west and south west so either get no sun or lots of sun. The room was airy, clean and linen changed. There were no extras in the room; wine... More

It is clean but dated. The hotel room looks more like an average 3/4 star hotels on the Mainland US, then a beach resort hotel. It is quite clean. I think Hawaii has some catching up to do compare to the nice (and relatively inexpensive) beach resort hotels in South East Asia. The hotel charges a resort fee. However they... More

We spent three nights at this beautiful resort and enjoyed everything about it. It's convenient (20 minutes) to the Kona airport. It has great facilities, a courteous staff and wonderful accommodations. Food and bar service were outstanding and reasonably priced. We will return. More
