Inexpensive, clean, good location, nicely decorated. Rooms were small by US standards but Europeans wouldn't call them small. Very good value for money. You'd have to have very high standards or be very rich to feel uncomfortable or unhappy with this hotel. More

This hotel is a very easy walk from BART and bus system that will take you just about anywhere. It is also possible to walk 'FLAT' no hills to Fishermans wharf it takes about 20 minutes, but is a safe and scenic walk. Fantastic hotel for exploring San Francisco, the Baldwin is excellently located for exploring China Town, Nob hill and Union Square. The rooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean and different towel arrangements on the bed each day which are great fun. TV channel selection was excellent and we would dedinately return and use again if exploring the city. More
