Stayed here for a conference when the Marriott that hosted it up the road was full. It is a nice place, in an older, historic building, and walkable to some killer restaurants—but the people that work here are what makes this place an exquisite experience. It took me four days to get here due to a travel adventure from hell but Tuan the bellman greeted me at the door and was so sweet, it was hard to remember the past several days. He scooped me up and took care of everything; from the door, to a glass of champagne, to a water to take to my room, to directions to my conference. And the kicker is, he was down there with an huge smile every single time I went to come or go. I started joking with him that they never let him leave! Best service ever, from Tuan, to the bar, didn’t get our bartender’s name but she was also fantastic! Great experience all around.

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO TUAN THE BELLMAN, AND ALL THREE MEN (AND A WOMAN) AT THE FRONT DESK! THEY ALL DID THEIR BEST TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY AND ACCOMMODATED! YOU CAN TELL TUAN AND THE VALET (I believe from El Salvador), ON THE NIGHT SHIFT OF MARCH 15th, TRULY LOVE TO SERVE FROM THEIR HEARTS! And the WOMAN TENDING THE BAR FROM POLAND!!!! I’M SO SORRY I DIDN’T CATCH YOUR NAME! YOU WERE SOOO FRIENDLY AND HAD REALLY GOOD TASTE IN FOOD! SHE WAS SOOOO GENUINELY CARING! THE YOUNG WOMAN WAITRESS AT ELLIOTT’S ON MARCH 16th (sorry IDK your name but she wears glasses), SHE WAS SUPER NICE TO ME JUST A SWEET SPIRIT! I HAVE TO SAY EVERYONE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY NICE AND HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND I KNOW GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS HOTEL ALSO RECOGNIZES AND ACKNOWLEDGES YOUR MARRIOTT REWARDS STATUS, AND THEY HAVE SUPER GOOD PERKS LIKE CREDITS FOR BREAKFAST OR MARRIOTT POINTS JUST TO SAY ‘WELCOME’ & ‘THANK YOU’! (Cookies and champagne 👀). The staff never treated me poorly or looked down on me…🥲 I’m so grateful and would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting SF. 💯! I stayed at Hotel Adagio for the second time Today! I also stayed here back in December 2023. It was a beautiful hotel with all the Christmas decorations and holiday cheer. There were no homeless people to step over as I had read about in other reviews. To be fair, in Dec 2023 the city had just rid the streets of all the homeless secondary to the state of arrival of the Chinese president. This second time, around 3 months later, there STILL were no homeless people in site (may The Lord Bless them and keep them safe). I felt completely safe walking around outside to get in Lyfts or find the valet. (Single female here). This was a staycation for me, however, when I am out of town I like resorts or hotels that have a luxurious feel, or close to that anyway. This Hotel, while it isn’t a resort, is more than sufficient. They keep the inside looking well kept and clean. It doesn’t feel like, let’s say, you’re staying at a “Residence Inn” (NO SHADE TO RESIDENCE IN, THERE’s a time for that type of hotel). I needed a break from kids, and to relax. I also booked a massage at Burke Williams which is only 5 mins away via Lyft. If you need R&R, I highly recommend this hotel and that spa! Thank you again Hotel Adagio, I can’t wait to visit you all again! May The Lord Jesus bless you all abundantly for your service! 💖💛💖💖🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The bellman Tuan that greeted myself and my companion was extremely helpful in giving us some selections of where to go and what to do during our stay in San Fran. Very professional and extremely helpful. I would recommend visiting this hotel when we return to SF.

I was really impressed with this hotel, spacious rooms especially for SF, large shower and bathroom, clean, safe, friendly staff especially the bellman Tuan! The area was quiet and easy access to nearby shopping and services! The entire team went above and beyond.

Service was poor. I have the highest Marriott status but no one at the front desk ever acknowledged my presence throughout a fairly long stay. The hotel generally is very White, Midwest business travelers so perhaps I did not look the part. Highlighting since some future guests may prefer this vibe and some, like me, may not. The worst thing about the hotel however is the AC/heating. After just a few days, noticed a coat of very fine dust on my luggage, dark suits etc. Perhaps this was a health hazard given I have been breathing in the debris for so many days - only time will tell. Somehow, I doubt Management will care. It’s the sort of place where you do feel everyone is just “doing their job” and will not go the extra yard (forget the mile!).

Dear James M, Thank you for sharing your experience with us here at Hotel Adagio. I will begin with an apology for your stay being less than perfect, as we make every attempt to make every guest stay comfortable and incident free. If you felt you were discriminated upon, then this needs to be discussed as not only do we have Team Members from every color and creed, we also welcome guests from all over the world to our property who are all different. There is no "looking the part" here at Hotel Adagio. We will be looking into the HVAC unit in the room you stayed. If you would like to discuss further please reach out to me directly (415)354-2626.

I'm surprised how average this hotel was, I was expecting more. I generally like Autograph collection hotels and have stayed at quite a few. The staff are lovely and I was upgraded, but there are a few things that will cause me to never come back. First, there is no coffee in the room. I will never understand this choice by a hotel - forcing me to put on clothes at 5am when I'm jetlagged and come downstairs just for some caffeine makes me angry every time. Not a good start. Second, whats with a 25 dollar resort fee? This is not a resort - I appreciate you get a 25 dollar credit at the bar or restaurant but I don't need that. I'll have dinner out, thank you very much. I can stay up the street for cheaper and use that money for something I actually need. Last, the heat in the hotel was ineffective and hard to set. It blew cold air for a good 20 minutes before it started to heat, and took forever. Miserable. Sorry guys. Harsh feeback, but I won't be back.

Amazing experience from beginning of our arrival when we were greeted by Jack who was soo kind and willing to assist, carry all of our bags, opened doors and waited for us patiently after our check-in to take our luggage to each of our rooms. Then when checking-in, we were greeted by a very cheerful, happy front desk person, Kristin who went above & beyond with explaining everything about the extra amenities and history of the hotel. The two of them (Jack & Kristin) exceeded my hotel experience and the added bonus - bed was comfortable and room was so cute!! Next time i am in town on business, i plan to stay there again!

After staying at the beautiful Ivens Hotel in Lisbon, we thought all Autograph Collection hotels would have the same standard of excellence, so we were looking forward to our stay at the Adagio. What we discovered is the Autograph brand is shockingly inconsistent. At the Adagio, there were missing linens on the bed. The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and loose. The room furnishings were mostly dented. The bathroom products were sparse and cheap. The fan over the toilet was unnecessarily loud. The decor in the enitire hotel felt cheap and worn down. The elevators were slow and almost always filled with staff. We are really disappointed and will definitely think twice before choosing an Autograph Collection hotel again.

We stayed 4 nights on the 15th floor 1508 with 4 people. The lady with curly hair ( sorry I forgot to ask) who checked us in was amazing. She knows what she was doing. I loved her attitude. She also arranged fridge and ice bucket for us. Room is in a good size not too crammed. Bathroom is big enough for 4 also. Bed is comfy, shower pressure and fast hot water is spot on. I don’t mind the location at all despite the homeless quite a few in the area. Busy but not like touristy busy area like fisherman’s wharf. Free coffee, tea, hot choc stand right next to the elevator that is a plus. I have to point out the NONO experience. we had such a bad breakfast at the Elliot’s restaurant. You get credit $25 net a day to use from the bar to the restaurant. Just sign you room number on the slip at the end. Full Breakfast start from $19-30. San Francisco is an expensive city to live and eat. But paying $22 + tax for omelets that had no meat only still raw onion , mushroom and spinach. If you want meat you pay another $8 on top. I just can’t believe they can’t make the omelette right. We ended up using the rest of our credit for drink at the bar and some dessert instead. Can’t go wrong with alcohol 😀 Ton of breakfast restaurants near by with lower prices and better taste. Free 2 tickets for troller. We started right in front of Swarovski and got off at the last stop at Fishermans wharf. $8 cash on board if you want more ticket. Coins are ok but no penny. Checked out also very smooth. Sasha and her trainnee Edward ( maybe) were so efficient. Francisco was super friendly also I am not sure I will be back to the same hotel. But if the deal is right we might. Thanks for the great stay!
