All the really nice hotels are not in the wharf even brands like the top chains their locations down here are lacking, not special, old, dirty etc.. The wharf is not lets spend everyday for a week there place... More

Just spent 5 nights at this hotel after trying other brands in the area. This is a good choice nr the wharf, nice bar/restaurant(called Knuckles) on site, a couple of minutes from the main wharf and pier 39 for the Alcatraz trip. Gym was small, pool was closed initially, now open again with the outdoor jacuzzi.. More

I recently visited the Hyatt at the Wharf for a family friend's 80th birthday party. The hotel is in a great location - a couple of blocks from the main Pier - easily walkable. There is no view of the wharf, which was a little disappointing, but overall it's a nice place to stay. The rooms are pretty standard -... More

Hotel is maybe a bit business like, but that can be the only compliant. Otherwise it is in an excellent location, within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf. It is also possible to walk from Union Square back if you wish to enjoy the sights of the city and cope with the hilly terrain. More

We stayed for three nights at The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf (1/26/12-1/29/12). It was a wonderful experience. I have never met more friendly staff. Our rooms were large, clean, and very bright. The bed was amazingly comfortable. One of our rooms had a regular tub, while the other was a more modern shower (from the ceiling), so if you have... More

The Fisherman’s Wharf area disappointed us as it felt like staying in an English holiday resort from the 1970’s. The hotel is average. The room was ok and quiet, despite facing a busy street. The lobby a bit cramped, especially annoying with lifts at different levels in the lobby. Short distance to the cable car. We will not stay here... More

My stay was disappointing. Bed sheets were torn. The bed was out of shape and uncomfortable. Breakfast was overpriced. Across the road we found a little coffee shop where we had a filling tasty breakfast for $10 More

Stayed at the Hyatt overnight for a business meeting. Room was clean and comfortable, nice view of Coit Tower from the window. Short, very easy walk to the wharf. Took the Bart from the airport to Powell street station and then took the cable car down to hotel, where it let me off right in front of it! Be sure... More

Booked hotel at last minute and no regrets doing so. The front desk was fantastic and the room was cozy. The location worked out perfect too. A couple of small issues (which by no means would prevent me from staying again), the elevator was a tad slow and the TV reception was not all that hot on some channels. More
