Stayed here for a business meeting. Pros: good location, good water pressure in shower, large rooms. Cons: not enough elevators for hotel when it's full, weak wireless connection in rooms, staff attitude, food, noise level. Staff at the front desk, concierge and bell stand were friendly. However, staff that served meals during business meetings were very unhappy and surly. The... More

I stayed here for a work conference for 3 nights in January 2012. As other reviewers have said, it is in a great location, with plenty of shops and restaurants around the area, and right next to a BART station. I was a bit disappointed in my room though. I expected more from a Hyatt Regency. The room itself was... More

I've been wanting to stay in the Financial District and got a great deal on the Hyatt via Hotwire. The hotel is located just a block from the Embarcadero and the Ferry Building, and within walking distance of shopping and other nearby sights. The bed was cozy and we had a great view of the Bay Bridge and the city.... More

Nice hotel - very clean; an old skool beauty. If you're a first timer or you just want to do the tourist thing, this is the place for you. The big port building is right outside with a flea market, lots of restaurants, and walking distance to Fishermans Wharf. There is a metro station and buses nearby, if you want... More

My room was great, I scored one of the bayview rooms with a balcony which was great on the warm sunny days (twit on a higher floor almost got me with a cigarette butt, not the hotels fault). Room was spacious and clean, had an adjoining room door that was a bit thin. The atrium and lobby with the glass... More

Stayed there last June (sorry for the late review). Room was clean and well-sized with a view of the Ferry Building and the "Port of San Francisco" sign. If you're tired of staying at Fisherman's Wharf and willing to stay at the end of Market Street, this is the place for you. Fantastically huge indoor atrium/lobby, kind of reminds you... More

Pros: Great location in the Financial District with spectacular fountain and bay views available. My standard room wasn't quite ready when I arrived for 3:00 check-in & was immediately upgraded without asking (nice!) to a much larger bay-view executive room with a full workstation, couch, 2nd flatscreen TV, refridgerator, etc. Bathroom mirror had a TV built into it and great... While it may not be the cheapest place to stay in San Francisco, it more than made up with its location, Cable car just to left of front door. Pier shopping just across the street. Ferry to Alcatraz next to that. We got the package with breakfast included. It was Excellent. Within walking distance to Coit Tower. Not much further... More

The Hyatt Regency is disappointing for the class of hotel. Rooms are well appointed and large, but fixtures are dated, the mini-bars have been ripped out, there is no decaf option in the coffee making facilities, the bath tub is minuscule and the toiletries are smelling rather vile. I was there for a function and the serving staff was just... More

Recently stayed at this hotel for one night. It's in a great location, and the room was OK, but otherwise I wouldn't stay there again. The lobby and bar area are actually quite stunning, as they are in an atrium that rises 15 or so floors. What that means, however, is that when you are walking to your room, there... More
