I, hopefully unlike you, fell victim to a very carefully shot and well written puff piece for this hotel. What it actually is as I write this from my room here is a crap hotel with some Ikea beds and furniture in a crap neighborhood, with non-existent 'free' internet ( you get a signal but it is impossible to connect),... I was compelled to write this review after recently staying at another eco-friendly hotel that puts this place to shame. My husband and I stayed here last spring and were pretty excited to try something that appeared to be hip and eco-friendly. The price didn't really matter, we just wanted a fun San Francisco experience. This was not in the... More

This hotel was ridiculously cheap, super cute & convenient. A nearly identical hotel in my town (aesthetic & amenity wise) goes for twice as much a night. For those that think the neighborhood is "dangerous", (i.e. homeless people nearby, as there are EVERYWHERE in SF) go stay at a $400 hotel near Fisherman's Wharf & stop complaining. This is my... We are in SF pretty often as our daughter attends the Academy of Art University there. Our fave band, the Tedeschi Trucks Band was playing NYE in SF, unheard of since they are based in Florida and usually play NYE in that vicinity. We usually stay at the Phoenix Hotel but they were all booked way in advance so took... More

If you want a clean cheaper hotel that's close to Market Street - this one could suit your needs. Only a couple of blocks back its a quick walk to MArket Street - and only a few blocks to the shopping district. A few places inthe surrounding streets for food - so good place for 2 or 3 days. More

Good hotel offers free bike rental sevice to customers. However, the thing is that they have just limited bike( they said they had only 2 bike available now) and if customer wants to rent a bike, they hold your money over 500 dollars as a security deposite for each bike. Furthermore, they don't offer free parking, which most hotels offer... More

I really liked the hotel itself, the staff were fun and helpful and the rooms were really nice. Great burger place across the road, thai around the corner good too. We were able to use the washing and internet facilities of the hotel across the road ( they must have an agreement or be linked somehow) which was convenient. We... More

Disappointing is the first word that comes to mind. I booked a room there with a colleague for a congress that was held at the Moscone Center in December. The hotel was recommended to me by a colleague who praised the "hip" and "relaxed" atmosphere of the hotel. I arrived at the airport in the afternoon and took the BART... More

I had to pick this hotel due to my company's travel policy as every SF hotel that week was over $250. I figured walking 1 mile wouldn't be too bad. Location: It's amazing how different 1 mile makes. I walked out of my hotel around 8am every day and I'm greeted with swarms of homeless people - some were obviously... More

The Good Hotel is very reasonably priced. Clean, functional and pretty pleasant hotel. Good way to do the city on a budget. Neighbourhood is a bit blah, but Patisserie Philippe is walking distance - as are quite a few things. More
