WOW! Had an absolutely fabulous time in "Free to be Me" Asheville enhanced by our stay at the Carolina B & B. Our hosts, James and Susan and Sara made us feel like family. The gardens, the elegance of the Inn, the neighborhood (great place for morning run) are wonderful. You can bike or walk to downtown easily so no... More

So happy to report that my visit to the Carolina B and B in Asheville North Carolina was one of the best experiences I have ever had, and I have stayed at countless B and B's over decades. The combined elements of a historic home and neighborhood, architectural beauty, interior elegance and class along with outstanding in-home chef Susan's continual... More

James and Susan act as if this was their life's calling. They made us feel welcome immediately. The evening wine and appetizers were always different and always well done. James gave us so many good suggestions for dining and touring. Susan prepared the best breakfasts we have ever had. We spent 3 nights there and enjoyed our room. The fireplace... More

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at the Carolina B&B, and are are so glad we did! James and Susan Murray are fantastic hosts, and they go above and beyond the call of duty to take care of their guests. The breakfasts were fantastic, and we loved the afternoon snacks. Our hosts were wonderful - welcoming, friendly, and so informative about the area, with many recommendations for dinner and activities. And the gourmet breakfast was delicious! The accommodations were excellent - so comfortable and nicely decorated,... More

My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at the Carolina B&B in Asheville for two nights in late April. We've stayed at numerous B&B's over the years and this one stands out. The home is set in a very quiet neighborhood within walking distance to shops and resturaunts. James and Susan are wonderful hosts, gracious, knowledgeable and... More

We landed at the Carolina for a two-night stay and found it exceptional. The beds were fluffy and comfortable and the neighborhood very quiet, the breakfast gourmet, the happy hour delicious and robut, and the location was excellent for walking into town easily. The staff were well informed and helpful. Truly a wonderful place to stay.

My husband and I spent 3 enjoyable days with Susan and James. You can tell that this couple cares about the happiness of their guests. Each room displayed character and warmth. We stayed in the very comfortable Goldfinch Room. It was bright and cheerful despite the cloudy weather we had. The linens were a fine quality and we had a... More
