I think I will stick with the Four Seasons or Ritz during future stays. The rooms are fine and what I would expect but the general attitude was not what I would expect. Just too professional to a point of being a bit of a turn off. Location is really the only thing going for it I guess, but the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Mandarin with our two kids for a family vacation. I had researched a number of hotels in Boston, and was looking for the best. I definitely think I found it at the Mandarin Oriental. The staff is incredibly helpful. We arrived to our room where bags of fresh cookies and cold milk were... More

My party of three rented three rooms for a special birthday night. From the beginning to the end of the stay we were greeted by name and treated as VIPs. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. Parking and taxi service was very efficient. The bar at the end of the evening was interesting in that the manager had to use... More

Stayed four nights in a Mandarin room. Rooms are very classy and hotel location is good. Some minor flaws stopped the rating being perfect: - $12 a day for WiFi is just unnecessary pennypinching & really grates these days - fresh air fans in the rooms can't be turned off and might annoy a light sleeper - information provided by... We stayed for several nights in what must be one of the finest hotels in Boston. Staff were friendly, yet official from the moment we arrived and promptly attended to any requests. The service from front desk to housekeeping couldn't be faulted. Rooms were excellent with great space and amenities although the lack of coffee making facilities was disappointing. Freely... More

The hotel is located on Boylston Street just a stone throw away from many bars, restaurants and shops. I did not stay but, met up with a friend and visited her room. Security is very tight and a key was needed to move the elevator. The room was gorgeous! They provided robes, slippers, an umbrella, yoga mat, etc. There was... More

Huge room, great service, nice gym/restaurant in a fabulous location in downtown Boston. Expensive, but definitely worth it for what is essentially a Four Seasons level experience. The only downside was the extra (albeit relatively reasonable) charge for Internet connectivity.

I can't forget the blood stain on the carpet across from the closet. A hotel of this category should have removed that area of the carpet removed immediately. Also, they forgot to change the sheets from the last guest. It reeked of her perfume. I made them change all of the linens.

I've stayed in a lot of high end hotels but never one as accommodating with such an exceptional staff as The Mandarin Oriental in Boston. There was no request there were not prepared for. The rooms are decorated beautifully, the bed was just perfect. The shower has a wonderful with a Rain head at the top and a hand held... More

Maybe it was the Egyptian chamomile tea upon arrival that set the stage for the entire stay, but the staff just seemed to know what I needed even before I did. No frustrating encounters with lobby or business room printers for the boarding passes—they printed the for me and delivered them to my room. One less hassle is always a... More
