Location in Kenmore Square is perfect. Immaculate, charming rooms are larger than most other hotels. Friendly, helpful staff. Public transportation is at your doorstep. Walk to Fenway, resturants, shops, green spaces. Good value!

I made an unexpected trip to Boston without hotel reservations, figuring I could get a room at a good downtown hotel without difficulty. But the reason for my visit made it more convenient to be around Fenway Park. I was walking in the area and happened across The Commonwealth. Its medium size, beauty, rooms and restaurants made it look like...

Hotel Commonwealth is located in the heart of the city, close by to all universities and conservatories. Very convenient with THE most professional staff I have ever encountered. Our needs were immediately attended to by the exceptionally accommodating manager Dan Bahr and his well trained staff with a smile and action. This hotel is modern elegance, offering a gentlemanly doorman...

Let me just start by stating that I have stayed in over 15 hotels in Boston, therefore I am a pretty good judge of quality. The hotel is in a great location to see a Red Sox game, but not close to Faneil Hall or the waterfront. The staff was very nice and they have a couple great bar/restaurants connected...

We stayed in Boston overnight because we were seeing a late show in town and didn't feel like driving 1+ hours home. I'm glad we did. The room was great, not too pricey, the location was convenient, the staff was friendly and helpful, the food at Island Creek Oysters was off the hook. I'd definitely go back again.

This hotel is a quality property located in Kenmore Square at the tip of the BU campus.
It has two excellent restaurants in house, Eastern Standard and Island Creek Oyster Bar. We have eaten at both. In bad weather you never have to leave the hotel. Here are some things you should know:
1. Valet parking is 42.00 per day...

We used Hotel Commonwealth as our room block choice for our January wedding. The hotel is absoultey beautiful, well maintained, clean, and centrally located in Boston's Kenmore Square. The Sales Manager, Christy, and all of the staff at the hotel were more than accomodating and responsive while we planned for our special day--from a site visit of the rooms to...

Working in the meeting, conference and incentive business, I stay in a lot of hotels throughout the year. This property is a gem! Each individual, from the bell staff to the front desk, from the telephone operators to the room service staff, was exceptionally attentive. They always addressed me by name when I would come & go, and they always...

We had a brief stay on a Saturday night in January. The hotel looks classical but seems to have been built quite recently. We had a "junior suite" - it was very spacious, very well appointed and very comfortable. We were travelling with another party who had booked a basic room. She was upgraded on checkin to a junior suite...
