This is a nice hotel, with very helpful staff. Unfortunately it is away from the sights and restaurants. I was here for a conference, but if I were in Boston for vacation, I would recommend a location closer to the sights.

The hotel is very modern with high ceilings in the lobby and restaurant area. We stayed at the Westin because a friend was doing the Avon Breast Cancer Walk & this was the host hotel. It is located right next to the Boston Convention. The place was convenient for our 3 day stay. There are lots of restaurants to choose from blocks away from the hotel and an Irsh pub right in the lobby... More

I stayed in the Westin Boston Waterfront for a conference I was attending like a lot of their patrons. A hotel that charges $400+ a night should at least have complementary internet access! That was a huge disappointment to me. There are too many comparable hotels in the area that don't nickel and dime you. Not classy.

There are many more modest hotels that offer free wireless internet access in the room. Be prepared to pay $15 per day or $ 7 per hour for internet access in the room! If you want free internet access, you must be at the lobby.

After visiting New York for 7 days we took the train from Penn Station to Boston South .
