This hotel is located steps from the beach, it takes about three minutes to get from your room to the shore. The pool was nice, they have a grill you can use. The room was pretty awesome too it was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. We asked for a single queen and got a double, but that's understandable as they... More

Location, location, location! Yes, we definitely have that, and, the rooms we are renovating are going to be nicer than any of the current rooms we have right now. It seems like each time we renovate, we seem to improve another level. We are far enough along with our current renovation to see that. I can't wait to see the... More

We stayed for 6 nights and we were very comfortable. The fact that you can walk to pretty much anywhere in Pacific Beach and Mission Beach is a highlight. Grabbing coffee from the front desk and watching the sunrise was great. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice, (well except 1 office woman). There seemed to... More

I have lived here for more than 20 years myself, and I am still sometimes amazed by the sunrise over the bay when going out for a morning run. This is one aspect of PB that will never grow old. I usually inform guests that they could easily just park their car for their entire stay and walk just about... More

We have stayed at Pacific Shores Inn annually for the last four years. The location, so close to Pacific Beach is mainly the reason we have chosen this hotel over other options. You can't beat having the beach and boardwalk less than a block away. On a quiet night you can hear the sound of the ocean from your room.... More

I do agree about the items you mentioned, and am in the process of acquiring free Internet. I am on a list of hotels that will have this eventually. But, three or fours years ago we didn't offer any Internet service. We are constantly improving, and I can see us perhaps getting more breakfast items in the future. We are... More

The location was awesome! The beach was less than a minutes walk away. It is also near multiple restaurants and bars. Perfect location. Im not sure if we were in a renovated room but the rooms were large and nice. We had a patio door we could open and hear the ocean. The suggestions I have is in the bathrooms.... More

Thankfully, those should be changed out by next year. A designer we hired for the renovation of those rooms thought it would be a nice modern touch, and it was a great idea at one of our other properties. Unfortunately, the width of the shower is not as wide as the other place and with this being said, the functionality... More

Rather than paying $200-300 per night for a beachfront room, we decided to spend far less for a room at Pacific Shores Inn. Because it's on Mission Blvd (the main North-South street that runs parallel to the beach), this motel is an easy walk to a ton of nice restaurants, bars and shops. And to the beach, of course. It's... More

It sounds like you had a great time while staying with us in PB! You did what so many other people do while here at the beach, enjoy yourselves. As for the plain room, it is currently out of service for a full renovation, and will a very nice surprise for you when you return. Thank you! More

Happened on this hotel during Spring Break. Management made no effort to control the noise. the rooms were small but clean. No decorating in recent years. Free parking but wifi was extra. They gave you a sugar roll and coffee free for breakfast. No cereal or fruit. The best thing was the closeness to the beach.

Actually, we had to phone the police three times in three nights due to different people creating too much noise. We do not have the ability to foresee what type of guests we are checking in until we actually have an issue with them. Just so that you know, we forced four rooms to leave when things became too loud.... More

Stayed at the Pacific Shores on March 9, 2013, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. Perhaps part of this is my fault. I decided just to let fate take me where it would for the evening, didn't make reservations anywhere, and ended up on the doorstep of Pacific Shores around 6:30 on that evening. And it all... More

I'm really happy you stayed with us, and yes, spring break in Pacific Beach is a little hectic. I'm glad we are able to find a room for you, and please know that the rate we charged was not any more than we normally charge for a single during this time period. It sounds like the guest service agent was... More

No, we have not changed ownership, and have made several improvements since your last stay with us. In fact, we are going to be renovating again in April. Unfortunately, we do about 1/3 of our rooms at a time making them vary in decor and newness. I do wish you had stayed in one of our newer rooms, because they... More

The location can't be beat. Literally a 2 minute walk to the beach. The room was really nice, and the beds were very comfortable. We just had a few complaints: -You have to pay for wi-fi. $7.99/day. That seems ridiculous in this day and age. We went down the street to Denny's and used the wi-fi there. -No hot tub.... More

Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to make comments about your stay. We did just redo the swimming pool about two years ago, and I was also dissappointed that we did not install a jacuzzi.
