Wonderful small hotel...very inexpensive so keep you expectations on the modest side. Room was very clean. We stayed in a small sunny room facing the street. Street noise was very low. Very good location. My wife and I will stay there again.

The rooms are rather small but clean. Showers are in the room but the toilets are shared per floor. Location is good near Chelsea Market and the High Line. Staff is friendly and helpful. All in all good value for the money. Subway is 3 blocks away.

Remember, you're not getting the Waldorf, so try to manage expectations. True, the rooms are small, toilets are outside the rooms, but be real! If you want a great location at a reasonable econmical price (for NYC), then the Chelsea is worth considering.

We appreaciated the great location in the heart of manhattan and the homy ambience at Chealsea lodge. Definitly a place to recommend and to come back. Coffee and tea is served in the morning as additional benefit.
