I really wanted to like this place as it is clearly a labor of love on the part of the owners. It is really the only place to stay in the heart of the West Village. The location is supreme as you stumble out your door to bakeries, eateries and jazz clubs. The Parlor Apt. in which I stayed was charming... More

I always feel kind of sad when I have to respond to these things. I just can't figure out why folks want to say things on the internet that they wouldn't say to your face in the hallway. Sigh. We are very clear in all our correspondence with guests about what is and isn't offered here -- among those offerings,... More

We hired both studios for ourselves and our two teenage children. Fabulous location in the heart of the West Village, with wonderful shopping and a cool, retro vibe (Bob Dylan and girlfriend on the Freewheelin' album cover taken in this street) easily walkable to so many interesting and iconic sights and neighbourhoods, with two subway stations minutes walk away. The... More

My daughter and I found Jones Street guesthouse to be the perfect location for us! We did not need to catch a cab once as the Uptown/Downtown line was only a short walk away. We enjoyed the jazz as it was played from the cafe across the road and also the opportunity to walk to some of the best jazz... More

We chose the first floor studio for our week in downown NY. The key collection arrangement worked as promised and the bed was comfy. There was plenty of hot water and the water pressure for the shower was excellent. We probably didn't understand that first floor meant half way under ground but that was ok although the apartment is a... More

My Wife and I stayed in the upstairs apartment for 2 weeks in September and it is fantastic. This is easily the best neighbourhood in NYC. Heaps of great restaurants nearby, walking distance to the subway and it feels very safe. The room is a decent size and the perfect base for an extended stay in NYC, a much better... More

perfect location right in the heart of the Village. We stayed on the ground floor room, which was a bit noisy, but hey - you're in New York! It's such a buzz to be right in the heart of all the action. There are sooo many amazing restaurants within a block or two of the guest house, which is great.... More

We stayed in apartment 2 on the first floor and we felt like we experienced what it would be like to live in NY City. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast at Doma was lovely and the apartment was situated in a great area.

The good and the less good: Location is central, just a few steps off Bleeker Street in the heart of Greenwich Village. Entry is down four unequal steps from the street, then up a steep, narrow, grungy staircase to the main-floor parlor studio. Swing a cat without hitting the 12-foot-high walls of the main room, a space greater than can... More

This was a bit of a leap of faith but the Trip Advisor reviews were encouraging and the location was great . Having stayed in the Garment District last time I didn't want to make the same mistake. Evelyn was a fountain of information and made the booking process easy. She sent piles of information about the location and the... More

Just completed my secound stay at this great apartment and loved it again. I stayed in the first floor studio which was very clean and large for a studio. The location cannot be beat, being right in the heart of all the West Village activity: shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, subways, etc. The owner's restaurant Doma is only a block... More
